Cobalt Robotics Announces Collaboration with Johnson Controls for Integration with C•CURE Alarm System
Cobalt Robotics announced a new collaboration with Johnson Controls. Johnson Controls C•CURE 9000 access control and event management system is now integrated with Cobalt’s remote guard service which includes AI robotics, machine-learning software and human oversight. With this integration, Cobalt robots listen for alarms and are automatically dispatched to the location in real-time after an alarm is triggered. The robots will escalate the incident in the C•CURE 9000 system, stand guard and provide situational awareness until the issue is resolved.

Now enterprises can connect staff and visitors with a live employee from their organization or security team first with backup from Cobalt’s Command Center, through real-time video on the robot wherever the robot is patrolling, in a secure managed solution. Enterprise mobile video chat enables clients to connect visitors and staff entering their offices, whether it’s a satellite or launchpad, directly with a receptionist or security officer from the main corporate office via video on the robot for any concerns or questions.

The financing was led by global technology investment firm, Coatue, and is intended for geographic expansion of services throughout the domestic United States. Cobalt Robotics Announces Door Integration Solution
Cobalt Robotics will introduce a new door integration that enables its security robots to open and then pass through a secured door without human intervention, a first for the industry. Cobalt Robotics’ new door integration feature enables its robots to seamlessly pass through areas closed off by a door. Using a secured, wireless credential, the robot transmits a signal using either Bluetooth or RFID technology to use the door’s access control reader, telling it to open.
