Wittra has Signed an Agreement with The Stockholm Fair

Wittra Sweden AB is pleased to announce the signing of a commercial agreement with The Stockholm Fair, Wittra will provide IoT solutions to locate vehicles positioned both indoors and outdoors using a single technology deployment answering the ‘where is my stuff and what is it doing?’ The agreement between Wittra and the Stockholm Fair is divided into several stages, the first stage will build an infrastructure designed to track and report the positioning of circa 170 vehicles.

Boon Edam Revolving Doors Fill Stockholm Central Station with Light

Boon Edam Inc., a global leader in security entrances and architectural revolving doors, announced that Stockholm Central Station in Sweden has installed a Boon Edam entrance solution as part of a renovation project for the terminal. Stockholm Central Station has installed a set of three Boon Edam all glass, 3-winged Crystal Tourniket automatic revolving doors, along with integrated heaters. Each door can accomodate 1,740 persons per minute in both directions in addition to being able to manage sustainable climate-control. The Crystal Tourniket doors also include collapsible door wings, which create an easy escape route in the event of an emergency, ideal for such a large public area.

US DOJ Sues to Block ASSA ABLOY’s Proposed Acquisition of Spectrum Brands’ Division

The U.S. Department of Justice filed a civil antitrust lawsuit to block ASSA ABLOY AB’s (ASSA ABLOY) proposed $4.3 billion acquisition of the Hardware and Home Improvement division of its rival, Spectrum Brands Holdings Inc (Spectrum). ASSA ABLOY and Spectrum are two of the three largest producers of residential door hardware in the concentrated, $2.4 billion U.S. industry. If the merger were to go through the DoJ says that Assa Abloy would have a “near monopoly” on premium mechanical door hardware and more than a 50 percent share in smart locks.

Securitas’ Board of Directors has Resolved to Purchase Own Shares

The Board of Directors of Securitas AB has resolved, pursuant to the authorization granted by the Annual General Meeting held on May 5, 2021, that the company shall acquire own shares of series B on Nasdaq Stockholm. The purpose of the acquisition is to ensure Securitas’ undertakings in respect of share-related or share-based incentive programs (other than delivery of shares to participants of incentive programs), including covering social security costs. The acquisition may commence on June 4, 2021.

Jörgen Lantto Joins Zwipe’s Board Of Directors

Biometric tech company Zwipe is pleased to announce the appointment of its newest board member, Jörgen Lantto. Lantto was most recently the CEO of Fingerprint Cards AB, a Swedish high-tech company that designs and manufactures biometric system solutions.
