dormakaba’s Mesker Business to Become Mesker MBM, LP

ormakaba has signed an agreement to sell its Mesker hollow metal doors business to the key Principals of Trimco (Oceanside, California) and Metal Manufacturing Industries/MMI (San Luis Potosi, Mexico). The sale is expected to close the latest by June 30, 2022, the end of the current financial year. After, Mesker will operate under a new entity known as Mesker MBM, LP. Trimco is a recognized leader in the North American market for innovating, designing, and manufacturing architectural hardware products. MMI is the premier hollow metal doors and frames manufacturer in the Mexico market and exports its products to both Central and South America.

The PSIA Approves Secure Credential Specification

The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance announced it has approved the Secure Credential Interoperability (SCI) 1.0 specification. The PSIA has been working with a broad group of industry leaders in the access control industry to come up with this specification, which is likely to have a significant influence on the future of secure mobile credentials. Mohammad Soleimani, the Chief Technology Officer of Kastle Systems and the Chairman of the SCI Work Group, introduced this concept to the organization in 2020.
