ProdataKey Announces Full Release of PDK.io 2.0
ProdataKey announced the full availability of its new software platform, PDK.io 2.0. Previewed at ISC East in November 2023 and available in beta to installation partners since last December, the software is now ready for widespread use by PDK customers. Most notably, version 2.0 expands scalability to offer full support of enterprise installations managed across multiple buildings and sites.

ProdataKey released a new version of its ProdataKey App. This unique, all-inclusive app for Apple and Android combines the functionality of PDK.io, the powerful mobile-first management interface for PDK access control systems, with mobile credentialing and remote access previously available only through PDK touch. ProdataKey Adds Custom Fields to Its pdk io Access Control Software
ProdataKey now allows for “custom fields” within the interface of its pdk.io software. Custom fields increase PDK’s solutions’ overall functionality by allowing administrators to include a wide range of pertinent data associated with each user. Address, location, floor, unit number, or any other field can be added to the pdk.io user database, providing more ways to identify employees and tenants accurately and categorize them into meaningful segments.
PDK Announces Integration with Microsoft Active Directory
ProdataKey now offers integration between its Pdk io software and Microsoft Azure Active Directory. IT departments that rely on Active Directory to simplify user and rights management across their corporate network may now use that same interface to seamlessly manage permissions within Pdk io software. System administrators can fully control the physical access of people and groups, as well as issue mobile and touch credentials.
PDK and Rhombus Introduce Access Control and VMS Cloud Integration
ProdataKey announced the release of a seamless integration with Rhombus Systems. In joining forces, the two companies –each known for their best-in-class cloud offerings– bring to market the industry’s easiest-to-implement, easiest-to-use, comprehensive access control and AI-assisted video management solution. ProdataKey Adds Another Touchless Option to Its Pdk io Solution
ProdataKey introduces “Present-to-Open,” a new touchless way for Pdk io users to interact with their system’s Touch io Bluetooth readers. With Present-to-Open, users hold their smartphone within proximity of the reader to initiate immediate authentication of their credentials, eliminating any delay in unlocking the door or need to touch the reader. The phone may remain locked as long as the Touch App and mobile credentials have been installed on the user’s device.

ProdataKey (PDK) announced a partnership with System Surveyor. A complete catalog of PDK’s mobile-first access control system components is now available for import into the System Surveyor platform, making it easier than ever to incorporate PDK’s solutions into site plans and design drawings that can be shared by integrators, subcontractors, vendors and customers. Using an iPad or Android-based tablet or browser-based device, users upload a floor plan or Google Earth snapshot into the System Surveyor platform.

PDK touch io Bluetooth Reader Now Shipping
ProdataKey announced that its revolutionary “touch io” Bluetooth reader is now shipping. When installed as part of a pdk io access control system, the new readers allow users who have installed a mobile credential on their smartphone to enter a controlled door by simply touching their hand to the reader, making it the most convenient mobile solution on the market. There’s no need to unlock the smartphone, or even remove it from a pocket or purse. For employees preferring not to use mobile credentials, the readers are also compatible with traditional key cards and fobs.
ProdataKey Releases Touch App for its PDK io Access Control Platform
ProdataKey announced the release of its Touch app for Apple and Android devices. The Touch app, which is available for free to all PDK customers, allows users to unlock entrances remotely with the push of a button on the mobile app. Only entryways matching the user’s permission level will be available to unlock. The Touch app is compatible with all pdk io systems and all doorways, regardless of the type of readers in place.
ProdataKey Software Platform Introduces Built-In Integrations with Leading Camera Manufacturers
ProdataKey now gives PDK.io system users access to immediate, turnkey integrations with cameras from five manufacturers from within its settings interface: Digital Watchdog, Hanwha Wisenet Wave, NX Witness, Turing, and Spot AI.
