Before looking for the right security camera, it’s important that you know what is the highest resolution camera out there in the market today. Back in the days, cameras with higher megapixels could only be lenses. However, with the advent of better cameras with higher optical zoom capabilities, high-resolution cameras can be found in many types of digital cameras.
As of late, megapixels have once again been considered the highest measure of a good digital camera. But no more. In fact, many amateur photographers have come to realize that when it comes to digital camera megapixels, less is definitely more. So, before you buy one of those best compact cameras or mirrorless cameras, make sure to read this article to learn how much you really need – as in, how much does your digital camera’s megapixels count in terms of quality?
Mirrorless cameras and smartphone cameras are both using different sensors. Mirrorless cameras use mirrors to capture photos and they can only detect light with mirrors. Smartphones on the other hand are using an infrared LED sensor and the actual camera uses an optical image capturing lens. This difference in sensors makes smartphone cameras much more sensitive and crisp than mirrorless cameras which suffer from many of the same drawbacks as mirrorless cameras. For instance, mirrorless cameras have less pixels and higher optical zoom which mean that the object in the photo will be rendered blurry if the distance is too far. Smartphone cameras on the other hand have more pixels, higher optical zoom, and shorter imaging time so the user can capture moving objects within the frame of the camera in the shortest amount of time.
