abode Announces Integration With One Of The First Z-Wave + Bluetooth S2 Smart Locks

abode systems announced a major new integration with smart lock manufacturer, Danalock at CES 2019. In January 2019, the sleek, easy-to-install, retrofit Danalock V3 smart lock featuring Z-Wave and Bluetooth connectivity will be available to be directly integrated into the abode DIY home security system for even greater smart home control and security.

When directly enrolled within the abode DIY home security system, the Z-Wave model of the Danalock V3 smart lock can be locked or unlocked remotely via the abode mobile or web app and added to smart home rules and scenes using CUE, abode?s enhanced automation engine.

Additionally, customers can take advantage of the on-board Bluetooth connectivity to automatically unlock their door as they approach using their smartphone as the authentication device.

Through CUE, users can create the automation rules that tells their abode system how to react when specific events occur and set up the architecture for the smart home they?ve always wanted. With the abode + Danalock integration, the V3 smart lock has been added to the collection of smart home devices users can add into their abode automations.

For example, based on the location of a mobile device associated with the abode system, an automation can be created to lock the Danalock V3 lock when the last person in the house leaves the geofence and unlock automatically when the first person arrives home. Or, a ?goodnight? automation could be created to set the temperature, shut off lights, and lock Danalock V3 locks on any door in the home.

Much like the abode system, the Danalock V3 smart lock is a ?security first? solution and one of the only smart locks on the market to feature Z-Wave?s enhanced S2 security protocol and AES 256 encryption on the Bluetooth side. Through this combination, the Danalock V3 is not only physically secure but digitally secure as well.

Intelligently designed, the Danalock V3 smart lock installs in 5-10 minutes as customers only need to replace the part of the door lock on the inside of their home, leaving the exterior part of the lock unchanged. Four CR123 batteries provide an estimated 18-month battery life so customers do not need to worry about replacing the batteries of their smart lock frequently.

?The new abode + Danalock integration is one we think customers are really going to benefit from,? said Chris Carney, abode co-founder & CEO.

?Danalock has developed a robust smart lock, one of the only ones currently available with Z-Wave?s enhanced S2 security enabled. The Z-Wave model of the Danalock V3 lock is a logical addition into the ecosystem of devices that work with abode and we are excited to have their new smart lock working harmoniously with our smart home security systems.?

?Our integration with abode is a perfect fit,? said Henning Overgaard, Danalock co-founder & CEO.

?abode customers looking for a sleek, futuristic smart lock solution can now turn to the V3 lock and Danalock customers looking for a robust smart home security system to build around their smart lock can now turn to abode. It?s a win-win and we?re thrilled to showcase this new compatibility on the global stage at CES 2019 in the Z-Wave smart home experience demo home.?
