Fast casual restaurants and quick service restaurants (QSRs) have traditionally installed surveillance cameras to deter crime, encourage safety and improve efficiency. However, despite the availability of less expensive IP digital cameras and DVRs that capture clearer images than ever, these systems often stood alone and were not integrated with any of the other electronic systems used in the industry. Savvy owners and managers now expect digital security cameras to be integrated with existing Point-of-Sale, drive-through order boards and speed-of-service timers.
The new IndigoVision TDSi EXgarde Integration allows alarms from TDSi systems to be seamlessly combined with IndigoVision’s security management solution, Control Center, giving complete video and alarm management in a single user interface. With the TDSi EXgarde Integration, you can trigger live video, move PTZ cameras and start recordings, while also having the ability to acknowledge, action or delete any relevant EXgarde alarms and send notification emails automatically which dramatically decreases operator response time.
Avigilon Corporation announced that its Avigilon Blue cloud service platform for security and surveillance will support professional video monitoring through a new integration with SureView Systems (“SureView”) Immix® CS and Immix CC software. Avigilon Blue cloud platform features patented self-learning video analytics that detect movements of people and vehicles and generate an alarm with a short video clip, allowing central station operators to more efficiently verify and respond to potentially critical events.
I-View Now announced an updated and improved integration with monitoring station automation software platform partner MASterMind. This updated integration improves signaling by utilizing a dedicated MASrecv I-View Now Receiver. Built in conjunction with MAS, these processes employ dedicated and proprietary signal types and signal formats which provide richer contextual information and video. The MASterMind Auto-Notification and Verification Interface with I-View Now integration provides mobile verification to central station customers.

CHeKT announced that it has formally completed its full integration with the DICE Corporation. The Bridge, CHeKT’s flagship product, has the power to turn any alarm panel and cameras into a single video alarm system and an internet of things (IoT) solution-creating a visual alarm verification system for DICE central stations. Installations can be completed by alarm technicians using only a smartphone within 30 minutes. CHeKT and DICE use additional XML integration to provide the monitoring station with the supervision of the location internet status, camera health, and CHeKT equipment at all times.
