ProdataKey announced that the company has once again been named to the Utah 100, MountainWest Capital Network’s (MWCN) annual list of the fastest-growing companies in Utah. This marks the seventh consecutive year that ProdataKey has been designated with this elite status. This year, ProdataKey ranked No. 59 out of 100 companies. The annual Awards Event pays tribute to the state’s fastest-growing and most exciting companies in the state, representing a cross-section of industries. Honorees were chosen based on both their percentage and dollar revenue increase between 2017 and 2021.
ProdataKey and Invictus have joined forces to create an all-in-one mobile solution for multi-tenant properties. Residents, guests, and visitors can now interact with PDK access control readers throughout their buildings using the same Invictus mobile app that they use for community notifications, virtual concierge services, visitor video intercom communications, and other technology-aided lifestyle conveniences. PDK mobile credentials within the Invictus app will permit unlocking of building entrances and doors to common spaces, including parking garages, clubhouses, playrooms, fitness centers, pools, mailrooms, laundry, and other secure areas.

ProdataKey released a new version of its ProdataKey App. This unique, all-inclusive app for Apple and Android combines the functionality of PDK.io, the powerful mobile-first management interface for PDK access control systems, with mobile credentialing and remote access previously available only through PDK touch. The new app delivers convenience for anyone who administers a PDK access control system and utilizes it to move about their workplace by eliminating the need to navigate two distinct interfaces. All things “PDK” are now accessible in one place.
ProdataKey is combining efforts with Altronix. Both organizations announced today that their solution has been deployed to secure Fairbourne Office Tower, the newest premium commercial building in West Valley City, Utah. Summit Technology, an IT solutions provider headquartered in Salt Lake City, installed the building-wide solution at the behest of its client, Wasatch Commercial Management (WCM). Fairbourne Office Tower is a nine-story property with an adjacent parking structure located within Fairbourne Station, a new 40-acre, mixed-use development.
ProdataKey announced that its new high-security Red Readers will soon feature mobile credential functionality, allowing them to communicate with smartphones via Bluetooth. The Red Readers can be ordered to additionally support high-frequency smartcards and low-frequency communication, offering users the widest possible choice of credentialing options for use with a single device. Red Readers support OSDP protocol as well as Weigand.
ProdataKey now allows for “custom fields” within the interface of its pdk.io software. Custom fields increase PDK’s solutions’ overall functionality by allowing administrators to include a wide range of pertinent data associated with each user. Address, location, floor, unit number, or any other field can be added to the pdk.io user database, providing more ways to identify employees and tenants accurately and categorize them into meaningful segments.
PDK has added Anti-Passback to the programmable features of its pdk io cloud access control platform. Anti-Passback requires individuals who have scanned through an entry reader to scan out through a corresponding exit reader before their credentials can be used to re-enter the premises. By requiring credentials to be used in an “in–out–in” sequence, cardholders cannot “pass back” their access card or credential-enabled mobile device to another person.
ProdataKey announced the release of a seamless integration with Rhombus Systems. In joining forces, the two companies –each known for their best-in-class cloud offerings– bring to market the industry’s easiest-to-implement, easiest-to-use, comprehensive access control and AI-assisted video management solution. The integration is free to PDK dealers and available immediately. The PDK/Rhombus integration allows users of a Pdk io access control system to easily associate readers with Rhombus cameras.
ProdataKey introduces “Present-to-Open,” a new touchless way for Pdk io users to interact with their system’s Touch io Bluetooth readers. With Present-to-Open, users hold their smartphone within proximity of the reader to initiate immediate authentication of their credentials, eliminating any delay in unlocking the door or need to touch the reader. The phone may remain locked as long as the Touch App and mobile credentials have been installed on the user’s device.
ProdataKey announced that the company has made it easier to connect third-party solutions with pdk io software through the use of webhooks. Webhooks are an enhancement to the pdk io API, allowing the software to send automated notifications to a receiving URL when specified events occur. They can be created for any number of access control events, such as opening a specific door, opening any door, the entry of a specific employee, or the addition or deactivation of a user.

ProdataKey (PDK) announced a partnership with System Surveyor. A complete catalog of PDK’s mobile-first access control system components is now available for import into the System Surveyor platform, making it easier than ever to incorporate PDK’s solutions into site plans and design drawings that can be shared by integrators, subcontractors, vendors and customers. Using an iPad or Android-based tablet or browser-based device, users upload a floor plan or Google Earth snapshot into the System Surveyor platform.
ProdataKey announced the imminent release of a new integration between the company’s pdk io platform and VIP video door entry system. The integration will be available on March 18, 2020, coinciding with the first day of exhibits at ISC West event in Las Vegas. Visitors at the event will be among the first to view the company’s new eight-door “eio” and the two-door “dio.” Each offer expanded benefits and functionality when used as part of a PDK io system. The 2-door dio unit includes a power monitoring feature that alerts dealers to any power-related issues. onboard ethernet, with auto-discovery powered by PDK io, simplifies installation and setup.
ProdataKey announced that its revolutionary “touch io” Bluetooth reader is now shipping. When installed as part of a pdk io access control system, the new readers allow users who have installed a mobile credential on their smartphone to enter a controlled door by simply touching their hand to the reader, making it the most convenient mobile solution on the market. There’s no need to unlock the smartphone, or even remove it from a pocket or purse. For employees preferring not to use mobile credentials, the readers are also compatible with traditional key cards and fobs.
ProdataKey announced the release of its Touch app for Apple and Android devices. The Touch app, which is available for free to all PDK customers, allows users to unlock entrances remotely with the push of a button on the mobile app. Only entryways matching the user’s permission level will be available to unlock.
