ProdataKey Adds Custom Fields to Its pdk io Access Control Software

ProdataKey now allows for “custom fields” within the interface of its pdk.io software. Custom fields increase PDK’s solutions’ overall functionality by allowing administrators to include a wide range of pertinent data associated with each user. Address, location, floor, unit number, or any other field can be added to the pdk.io user database, providing more ways to identify employees and tenants accurately and categorize them into meaningful segments.

ProdataKey Adds Anti-Passback to Access Control Capabilities

PDK has added Anti-Passback to the programmable features of its pdk io cloud access control platform. Anti-Passback requires individuals who have scanned through an entry reader to scan out through a corresponding exit reader before their credentials can be used to re-enter the premises. By requiring credentials to be used in an “in–out–in” sequence, cardholders cannot “pass back” their access card or credential-enabled mobile device to another person.

ProdataKey Launches Red Access Control Hardware Line

ProdataKey Adds Another Touchless Option to Its Pdk io Solution

ProdataKey introduces “Present-to-Open,” a new touchless way for Pdk io users to interact with their system’s Touch io Bluetooth readers. With Present-to-Open, users hold their smartphone within proximity of the reader to initiate immediate authentication of their credentials, eliminating any delay in unlocking the door or need to touch the reader. The phone may remain locked as long as the Touch App and mobile credentials have been installed on the user’s device.

ProdataKey Simplifies Third-Party Integrations with Introduction of Webhooks

ProdataKey announced that the company has made it easier to connect third-party solutions with pdk io software through the use of webhooks. Webhooks are an enhancement to the pdk io API, allowing the software to send automated notifications to a receiving URL when specified events occur. They can be created for any number of access control events, such as opening a specific door, opening any door, the entry of a specific employee, or the addition or deactivation of a user.

A complete catalog of PDK’s mobile-first access control system components is now available for import into the System Surveyor platform, making it easier than ever to incorporate PDK’s solutions into site plans and design drawings that can be shared by integrators, subcontractors, vendors and customers. Using an iPad or Android-based tablet or browser-based device, users upload a floor plan or Google Earth snapshot into the System Surveyor platform.

ProdataKey Introduces Updates to Touch Reader and Touch App

ProdataKey announced several updates to its “touch” Bluetooth reader and mobile app that further distinguish the pdk io solution as the most convenient, seamless, access control experience on the market. Unlike other mobile access control solutions, which require users to unlock and present their phone in place of a fob, PDK’s touch reader automatically senses encrypted credentials on locked phones carried by users, even when they’re deep inside pockets, bags and purses.
