ProdataKey announced the release of its new “rugged” readers for use with 125 kHz cards and fobs. The new units, available in single-gang and mullion style, with or without keypads, improve upon PDK’s former “ruggedized” readers by combining exceptional weatherproof and vandal-proof specifications within the same model. The new rugged readers feature an IP68 weatherproof rating, making them fully waterproof and dust-tight, and an IK10 impact-resistance rating – the highest rating possible. These qualities make them ideal for building exteriors, gates, commercial areas, industrial sites, and construction yards. They are also a good choice for schools, given their resiliency against student vandalism. The readers can be used as part of any pdk.io access control system.
ProdataKey has introduced four new controllers that expand the flexibility of its high-security Red line: the PDK Red 8, Red Max, Red Gate, and Red Pedestal. The new PDK Red 8 and PDK Red Max are all-in-one multi-controller and power supply enclosures designed to streamline ordering and installation of access control hardware in midsize to large-scale commercial projects. The Red 8 features a 10-amp power supply and two PDK Red 4 boards capable of supporting a total of 8 doors.

ProdataKey (PDK) announced a partnership with System Surveyor. A complete catalog of PDK’s mobile-first access control system components is now available for import into the System Surveyor platform, making it easier than ever to incorporate PDK’s solutions into site plans and design drawings that can be shared by integrators, subcontractors, vendors and customers. Using an iPad or Android-based tablet or browser-based device, users upload a floor plan or Google Earth snapshot into the System Surveyor platform.
ProdataKey will introduce two new door controllers at the upcoming ISC West 2020. Visitors at the event will be among the first to view the company’s new eight-door “eio” and the two-door “dio.” Each offer expanded benefits and functionality when used as part of a PDK io system. The 2-door dio unit includes a power monitoring feature that alerts dealers to any power-related issues. onboard ethernet, with auto-discovery powered by PDK io, simplifies installation and setup.
Touch io brings new levels of convenience and security for the communication between smart phones and access control door readers, eliminating the need for cards or fobs. Unlike other systems, touch io does not require the user to unlock the phone, or to even remove it from pocket or purse, in order to gain access through a protected door. The individual’s identity is validated through communication directly between his or her credentialed device and the reader, via Bluetooth.
ProdataKey and Dwelo LLC announced a partnership that will seamlessly integrate PDK’s cloud access control technology into the Dwelo smart apartment platform. Dwelo’s web and mobile software, which currently offers apartment dwellers the ability to control smart devices such as light switches, thermostats and door deadbolts for their individual units, will be adding features to manage access to common areas of their building or community, such as entry gates, clubhouse, gym and laundry facilities.
