ASIS Booth # 3039 – AlliedBarton Security Services, the industry’s premier provider of highly trained security personnel, is honored to present two educational sessions at ASIS International 61st Annual Seminar and Exhibits in Anaheim, CA, from September 28 to October 1, 2015. AlliedBarton is also celebrating the inaugural National Security Officer Appreciation Week.

David Feeney, CPP, Director, Integrated Solutions, AlliedBarton, will moderate a panel discussion titled “Get the Most from Your Technology Investment,” on September 29, at 1:45 p.m. in Room 202B. The security industry is booming with technologies, which streamline operations and increase efficiencies. “While there are many products, systems and choices, the ideal is a carefully selected and incorporated suite of solutions and security personnel specific to the needs of a particular location,” said Feeney.

This session will feature real-word insights on evaluating and improving integrated security solutions. Panelists include James McDonald, CPP, Senior Director, Global Security & Safety, Activision Blizzard, Inc.; Larry Russell, CPP, Lawrence Russell and Associates; John Petruzzi, CPP, VP, Enterprise Security Operations, Time Warner Cable; and Brad Minnis, CPP, Sr. Director, Environmental, Health Safety & Security, Juniper Networks.

Rik Lisko, CPP, Vice President, Business Development, AlliedBarton, will present “Engage Stakeholders to Ensure a Safe and Secure Environment,” on September 30, at 11 a.m. in Room 206A. “Feedback is essential to business growth and how organizations approach that feedback can impact workplace safety and security,” said Lisko, who will be joined by co-presenter Mark Wright, Director of Security, Houston Region for Brookfield Office Properties.

Stakeholders may include executives, employees, visitors, tenants and vendors. Understanding their needs and receiving, analyzing, and implementing stakeholder feedback on safety and security is critical. Stakeholder input can help justify a security investment, raise the safety program’s awareness, shape security strategy and identify improvements.

During ASIS, AlliedBarton is also raising awareness of National Security Officer Appreciation Week, which recognizes security officers’ many contributions to our daily lives. This includes contract and in-house security personnel across all industries. The appreciation week is also an opportunity to profile the many roles security officers fill; debunk misconceptions and stereotypes; and raise awareness of the career opportunities that exist within the security services industry.

The inaugural National Security Officer Appreciation Week is September 20 – 26, 2015 and will occur the third full week of September each year.
