The team at Dropcam sent out an email today where they stated they wanted to share some exciting news with everyone — Dropcam is now a Nest company.
“We are thrilled to be part of the Nest family. Together, we?re going to create some amazing products that help you stay connected to the people and places you care about. And we look forward to sharing updates with you along the way,” the email read.
It went on, “what doesn?t change is our commitment to providing you with the same great service and experience you?ve come to expect from Dropcam.”
One of the questions that came up over Nest’s acquistion of Dropcam would be their new privacy policy.
“What is Dropcam?s Privacy Policy moving forward? There are no changes to the Dropcam Terms of Service or Privacy Policy right now. Dropcam customers will eventually be transitioned to Nest?s privacy policy so they can benefit from the same strong privacy protections we have for Nest customer data and Dropcam customers will be notified when those changes occur,” stated Dropcam’s website FAQ section.
