Echodyne announced that they will be presenting a new paper entitled “A Compact Reconfigurable Millimeter-Wave Antenna Measurement System Based Upon an Industrial Robot,” at the Antenna Measurement Techniques Association Symposium (AMTA 2019) in San Diego, CA on October 9th. The event takes place at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina.
AMTA 2019 brings together industry leaders dedicated to the development and dissemination of theory, best practices and applications of antenna, radar signature and other electromagnetic measurement technologies.
Echodyne will present the paper during the “Robotic Measurement Systems” session at 1:30 pm PT. Echodyne has recently completed and qualified a new millimeter-wave antenna measurement system for characterization of beam-steering antennas such as our Metamaterial Electronic Steering Arrays (MESAs). The paper’s primary authors, Jason Jerauld and Felix Yuen, will present an overview of the measurement system and some initial measurement data, along with lessons learned during design and integration.
“We are excited to present this work that reflects our commitment to product quality and accurate performance metric,” said Tom Driscoll, CTO of Echodyne.
“In unmanned applications from airborne navigation to counter-drone security, radar is an essential sensor for situational awareness and safety. Echodyne stands behind the integrity and accuracy of our performance through detailed characterization of the antennas and radar we build.”
