Oncam Stainless Steel Camera Earns NSF Certification

Oncam, the leading provider of 360-degree video capture and business intelligence technology, announced that its 360-degree Evolution Stainless Steel Camera has earned the certification from NSF International to Standard 169: Special Purpose Food Equipment and Devices. It is the first and only surveillance camera of any kind to carry the NSF mark from the independent organization.

?The NSF mark is a testament to the fact that Oncam’s Stainless Steel Camera was designed and produced to demonstrate our commitment to quality, compliance and safety,? said Justin Wheatley, VP Product Management, Cameras, Oncam. ?The unique form factor opens up a world of possibilities for those applications with the need for stringent sanitation requirements and protection from the elements. It is the perfect addition to our product range and innovative 360-degree surveillance technology offering.?

The Evolution Stainless Steel Camera comes in both the 5MP and 12MP models, and is ideally suited for use in harsh environments, thanks to corrosion resistance to salt and chemical spray.

Its premium material and unique certifications make it particularly suited for food processing areas, industrial and chemical plants, vehicle wash stations, ports and marine applications as well as prestige architecture. In 2016, it was awarded a Gold Award at the Merilon Awards at the Safety and Security Asia event in Singapore for its product innovation and excellence in security technology. In 2017, it received the Money-saving Product of the Year award from Buildings Magazine.

The Evolution Stainless Steel Camera also boasts two other remarkable ratings. It is IP69K rated, the highest IP protection rating available against water and dust ingress, making the camera resistant to high pressure and high temperature washdowns.

It is also IK-10 rated against vandalism. The camera enclosure is also constructed from electropolished marine-grade 316 stainless steel, which guarantees a greater resistance to corrosion and rusting when compared to traditional steel. The enclosure is suitable for the harshest of environments and has a smooth finish, which allows for easier sanitation, whilst giving it a premium look and feel.

The Oncam Evolution Stainless Steel camera will be on display during the 2017 ASIS International Conference and Expo, Sept. 25-28, in Dallas, at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. See a demo at the following partner booths: Genetec (#3147) and Pelco by Schneider Electric (#2309).
