SecurityHive.com held a voting period during July 2014 and in August announced the Top 12 vote getters.
We then asked the Top 12 a series of questions that have formed the foundation of a profile for each of these Top 12 Industry Influencers.

John Honovich, President and Founder, IPVM
John Honovich is the President and Founder of IPVM, a market analyst firm he started in 2007. IPVM is a source for video surveillance information. Unique in the security industry, IPVM is a passionate advocate for consumers, refuses all advertising, sponsorship, and consulting projects from manufacturers. John was also the Director of Product Management for 3VR from 2005 to 2007 and was the General Manager of Sensormatic in Hawaii.
David Humphrey, CTO Video and Imaging, HP Autonomy
David Humphrey is the CTO for Video and Imaging at HP Autonomy. Mr Humphrey has held the position of Chief Technology Officer for the video analytics product range of HP Autonomy since 2005. Overseeing both the Surveillance and Broadcast Analytics business areas he acts as an ambassador for the R&D team liaising with sales, marketing and customers. He has over 20 years? industrial experience with video analytics technology. From 1996 he held the positions of Head of Engineering and then Managing Director for Neurodynamics, before it was acquired by Autonomy Corporation in 2005. Neurodynamics offered video analytics software solutions for defense agencies, governments and major corporations around the globe. Prior to this, Mr. Humphrey was an Electronic Hardware Engineer in multiple industries including machine vision, supercomputing and instrumentation. Mr Humphrey graduated with a BSc (Hons) in electrical and electronic engineering from The University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institute of engineering and technology.
