3M Cogent has announced that its MiY Biometric Access Control Readers have been added to Schneider Electric’s Andover Continuum integrated security and building management solutions. According to the company, specifically, MiY readers are now integrated with Andover Continuum CyberStation 1.91 or greater.
The first complete integration of the MiY solution for user and credential management into a third party software, leveraging MiY’s framework, provides biometric capture and cardholder enrollment directly from any CyberStation or using any 3M MiY reader on the network.
“The successful integration of 3M Cogent’s MiY biometric access control readers with Schneider Electric’s Andover Continuum allows us to provide customers with best-in-class solutions that enable optimal, efficient building performance and reduce energy consumption, capital expenditures, and operating expenditures while also improving overall business performance,” LK Wong, Director of Applications and Sales Support for Schneider Electric said. “Biometric access control is a rapidly growing requirement for facilities security,”
Christopher Crump, who manages the global access control portfolio for 3M Cogent said. “Integrating 3M Cogent’s MiY framework provides Schneider Electric’s customers the ability to use 3M Cogent’s high-quality biometric access control products seamlessly.”
The MiY product line provides single to multi-factor access control and is FIPS 201 certified.
