AvaLAN Wireless, leaders in secure, fail-proof wireless connectivity, today announced the development of its new repeater node technology. The new system will provide both redundancy and additional reach, not currently available in a standard point to multipoint systems.
?AvaLAN?s new repeater node technology is a ?mesh-like? system that offers more consistency and added reliability,? said Matt Nelson, CEO of AvaLAN Wireless. ?We have solved two of the major pitfalls in standard wireless networking by adding range and redundancy without adding cost or complexity.?
The repeater node system will help extend range by connecting several repeaters enabling hopping from device to device. The Repeater node system also provides carrier-strength redundancy through a multiple networking paths. If one connection goes down, it will be instantly rerouted.
Additional features include:
- Maximum legal transmit power ? 1 Watt
- Store and Forward Repeater to extend star configuration to additional areas
- Maximum of 10 nodes and 4 hops
- LEDs showing signal strength and network activity
- Built in lightning arrestors
The Repeater Node System will be available in July 2015.
