Base shares many of the features which are common to the Premium and Enterprise versions of Wavestore’s VMS, but is limited to sixteen camera inputs. ‘Wavestore is perhaps best known for its successful involvement in medium to large video surveillance projects, but we have recently seen a sharp increase in interest in our VMS for applications, such as retail and office environments where there is only a requirement for a small number of cameras,’ said Chris Williams, Director of Wavestore. ‘Base is offered at a significantly lower price and whilst it does not include certain features, such as video analytics and our unique 360 degree image de-warping solution, customers have the option at any time to upgrade to our Premium and Enterprise versions.’ As is the case with the Premium and Enterprise versions, Base is ONVIF Profile S conformant and simultaneously records images captured by combinations of analogue, IP, megapixel, HD, HD-SDI and thermal cameras.
