Wavestore will be hosted by three of its technology partners at ISC West 2019. Visitors to the Feenics, Mobotix and Raytec booths will have the opportunity to see how easy it is to benefit from a fully integrated security system with Wavestore at its heart. Wavestore focuses solely on the development of its highly secure VMS platform to deliver an ever-evolving feature set and ensures compatibility with associated devices and sub-systems from its Technology Partners.
The resilience offered by the proprietary HyperRAID™ technology suite recently introduced by Wavestore, means that the risk of data loss due to hard drive failure can now be reduced to practically zero. By taking the redundancy offered by conventional RAID solutions to a higher level, HyperRAID is able to provide peace of mind for applications where the safe storage of data and video evidence is crucial, from small projects up to fully integrated large scale and mission-critical solutions.
Wavestore has introduced EcoStore™, an energy saving technology developed to significantly increase the sustainability of a video surveillance solution. With businesses looking at ways to reduce energy and operating costs, as well as wishing to implement social environment-friendly policies, EcoStore offers the potential to save over 80% of the overall energy normally required for a hard drive storage solution.
A new NVR series launched by Wavestore is utilizing powerful video processing technology from BCDVideo. Available from all Wavestore Authorised Distributors and Partners around the world, the WR-Series NVRs have been engineered for the efficient processing and storage of video and are an ideal complement for Wavestore’s feature-rich video management software (VMS).
The announcement that Wavestore’s open platform Video Management Software (VMS) has been successfully integrated with Raytec’s lighting solutions means that operators are now able to match the security requirements for individual locations throughout a site, with a wide range of lighting options which are managed directly from Wavestore’s front-end ‘one screen, total control’ display.
Being able to store up to 2.04PB of storage per high density unit is impressive enough, but when coupled with Wavestore’s HyperRAID redundancy and EcoStore™ hard drive energy saving technology, PetaBlok can surely claim to be the world’s most efficient and robust video management and storage solution for applications which generate extremely large amounts of data. Pre-installed with Wavestore’s Video Management Software (VMS), PetaBlok is designed to provide a simple to implement and cost-effective solution for the increasing number of video surveillance projects.
Wavestore has released v6.14 of its open-platform and highly secure Linux-based Video Management Software (VMS). Multiple cameras can now be configured and set to record in a matter of seconds thanks to a completely revised camera setup screen. Separate camera groups can be created and used to quickly apply common settings, such as stream parameters, recording framerate and quality settings, to all cameras in the group at the same time.
In a challenging economic climate and with end-users understandably demanding maximum ROI from their investment in video surveillance systems, it might be time for installers to take a closer look at how 360° cameras could give them a competitive edge. Simply put, 360° fisheye lens cameras are able to reduce the cost of video surveillance in many situations as they can be used to monitor very wide or large areas. Cost savings are achieved by significantly reducing the number of cameras needed for video surveillance projects in environments such as airports, hospitals, large office reception areas, retail and public spaces.
Wavestore’s contribution to the effectiveness of video surveillance systems at three of the largest football stadiums in Montevideo, Uruguay, has been recognised by an award from the Asociación Latinoamericana de Seguridad (ALAS). The Best Latin American Private Security Project award was won jointly by Wavestore, the British manufacturer of open platform video management solutions, and its partners in the project, DDBA, a leading security and IT infrastructure systems integrator in Uruguay and Herta, a provider of state of the art facial recognition software.
A technology partnership formed between SALTO and Wavestore is enabling operators to instantly visually verify the identity of anyone attempting to gain access to a site or sensitive areas of a building. The successful integration of the two companies’ software platforms means users of SALTO Access Control are now able to view event-driven video captured by cameras connected to the Linux based and open platform Wavestore Video Management Software (VMS).
