The Security Director enables business success by executing the company’s security department strategies and services.

Responsibilities include identifying, evaluating, and mitigating security risks in a manner that meets internal, compliance and regulatory requirements while executing company goals, policies and procedures. The Director of Security should also be available during non-business hours to clarify matters of policy and procedures, as well as being on call to provide emergency assistance.

Additional responsibilities also include administration of the access control system, security system components including closed-circuit television (CCTV), intrusion alarms, account security system, and special projects regarding access control.

Critical Results: Develop, implement, and manage global security strategies, processes, and policies aligned with business goals and objectives to enhance corporate value and mitigate legal and reputational risk in five core strategic areas:

Employee and Asset Protection. Deliver programs to protect employees and create safe and compliant work environments regionally, including managing employee travel protection program and providing protection for executive management as needed.

Safeguard tangible and intangible assets by establishing measures to protect and reduce risk to physical, informational, financial, and intellectual property assets.

Brand Protection. Assist the building and protection of the company’s brands by providing investigative services and effective use of government agencies.

Business Continuity Planning. Provide for the effective prevention of and recovery from internal and external threats through business continuity planning.

Specific Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
– Identify goals and objectives consistent with corporate strategic plan and define metrics to measure overall performance
– Lead regional network of internal security team and external security service vendors
– Develop security and crisis management programs to support the safety and well-being of employees and physical assets
– Oversee incident response planning, including investigation of security breaches and compliance violations as well as responses to illegal activity
– Direct, coordinate or conduct sensitive investigations
– Collaborate with business partners to create and execute effective loss prevention program for retail stores
– Partner with other departments to develop comprehensive business continuity plan
– Reduce financial impact of grey market goods on key markets through strategic investigations and solutions
– Provide investigative intelligence and resources to support anti-counterfeiting efforts
– Assist assessment of third party relationships and activities to protect people, assets and reputation
– Maintain relationships with law enforcement and related governmental agencies worldwide
– Chair Emergency Operations Committee
– Develop and manage Security Department’s annual financial plan and budget
– Brief executive management on the status of security matters

Qualifications
– A Bachelor’s degree is required and advanced degrees in law or business preferred.
– Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years private sector security experience (can also include some law enforcement experience), with at least 5-10 years leadership experience.
– Credential such as CHS, CPTED, PSP, and/or CPP preferred.
