Genetec announced that World of Volvo has deployed Genetec Security Center to enhance visitor safety and vehicle protection at its 22,000 m² brand experience center in Gothenburg.
The facility, created through a joint initiative between Volvo Group and Volvo Cars, features permanent and temporary exhibitions showcasing historical, current, and future Volvo vehicles, while also hosting external events. The center welcomes more than 2,500 visitors daily.
Centralized Monitoring and Fast Incident Response
Security personnel operate Genetec Security Center from a centralized control room, where they monitor more than 100 i-PRO cameras installed throughout the venue. The deployment includes PTZ, fisheye, and multi-sensor cameras designed to provide comprehensive situational awareness across the facility.
The project was managed by Swedish systems integrator Granitor.
“With Security Center, it’s easy to see what’s happening and make quick decisions on how to respond. The platform’s usability is great; we were up and running in half a day,”
said Ulf Hermansson, Facility & Security Manager at World of Volvo.
Hermansson added that ease of use was especially important because external safety guards also rely on the platform in the central control room.
Multi-Site Oversight with Federation
Beyond the brand experience center, a Volvo warehouse site has also implemented Genetec Security Center. Using the Federation feature, security teams can manage alarm verification and gate control for the warehouse directly from the same control room.
Both locations operate on Genetec Streamvault infrastructure appliances, which come pre-loaded with Genetec Security Center software.
