Komodo Consulting, a leading cybersecurity consulting company, recently launched its newest service from its research arm, Peta.AI. Companies can receive free, customized reports that illustrate how individual organizations? cyberattack surfaces appear to hackers.
The corporate cyberattack surface report reveals the client?s exposure to cyber threats based on several indicators —geolocation, IP addresses, open and sensitive ports, vulnerable apps, compromised hosts, and leaked accounts— compiled from Peta.AI?s Open Internet, Deep Web, and Dark Net research.
Peta.AI examines the client?s cyberattack surface to determine the vulnerabilities that prospective attackers could use to infiltrate the organization, giving organizations a complete picture about where they need to focus their cyber security efforts.
The team recently analyzed the cyberattack surface of a Forbes-published list of 2,000 organizations and ranked the companies and sectors according to their cyberattack surfaces. Peta AI?s combination of threat intelligence capabilities and a top-tier research team has resulted in a 70-80 percent accuracy rate in pinpointing companies and their attack surfaces.
For the purpose of these exercises, Komodo states they did not do anything intrusive, nor did they scan the companies, or try penetrate their perimeter. All the information displayed, be it Fast, Slow, Small or Dark data, has been carefully collected, dissected, and analyzed using PETA.AI proprietary tools, techniques, and homegrown capabilities.
Komodo states that since they did not test this data, they realize that some of it may not be accurate. However, from the high-level of experience they are sharing, Komodo estimates that the results have an accuracy rate of 70-80 percent.
?C-level executives require critical security intelligence and corporate vulnerability analysis to prioritize investments on both immediate and long-term mitigation and technologies,? said Boaz Shunami, co-founder and CEO of Komodo Consulting. ?Being able to prioritize efforts is critical as threats are growing faster than both budgets and numbers of qualified cybersecurity professionals.?
