Nice Introduces OSCO 725 Commercial Slide Gate Operator

Retrofit-ready platform supports gates up to 5,000 pounds, combining heavy-duty performance with SmartTouch 725 controls, battery backup, remote monitoring and simplified installation and service.

Nice has introduced the OSCO 725, a commercial slide gate operator designed to provide reliable, flexible vehicle access control for medium- to large-scale commercial properties. Applications include trucking and distribution facilities, corporate campuses, secured storage yards and other sites requiring controlled vehicle access.

The OSCO 725 combines established gate operator technologies with advanced controls designed to simplify installation, configuration, monitoring and ongoing service.

Built as the next generation of Nice’s commercial slide gate operator portfolio, OSCO 725 brings together capabilities from the legacy Linear and HySecurity platforms. Its retrofit-ready design uses the same 30-inch post spacing and mounting profile as the products it replaces, allowing installers to reuse existing posts and avoid rebuilding the gate operator foundation. An available accessory also supports retrofits from select competing products.

“OSCO 725 was designed around what installers and commercial customers need from a modern gate operator: rugged performance, straightforward installation and greater visibility into the system throughout its lifecycle,”

says John Allen, Director of Product Management.

“By combining proven technologies from our established gate operator platforms with the advanced capabilities of the SmartTouch 725 controller, we’re giving installers a powerful, versatile solution that’s easier to deploy, configure and support.”

Engineered for Demanding Commercial Environments

The OSCO 725 is available in four primary models: OSCO 725-15, OSCO 725-25, OSCO 725-50 and OSCO 725-25F. The models support gates weighing up to 1,500, 2,500 and 5,000 pounds, respectively. The 725-25F handles gates weighing up to 2,500 pounds at twice the speed of the standard version, making it suitable for applications requiring faster vehicle throughput.

Select models are also available in high-voltage configurations supporting 460-volt and 575-volt three-phase power.

The operator incorporates a brushless DC motor drive and battery backup, allowing the gate to continue opening and closing during a power outage. A manual gearbox release enables manual operation when necessary. Optional features include a cabinet heater for extremely cold environments and a remote manual release for fire department access.

Its flexible, retrofit-ready post-mounted design allows the enclosure to be elevated above ground level, helping keep it accessible during snow accumulation and protecting it in locations susceptible to standing water or flooding. The tightly sealed enclosure is also designed to limit access by rodents, snakes, insects and other pests that could damage internal components.

SmartTouch 725 Adds Intelligent Control

At the heart of OSCO 725 is the SmartTouch 725 controller, which provides advanced control, safety, connectivity and diagnostic capabilities for commercial gate applications.

Five programmable safety inputs accommodate devices such as photo sensors and vehicle detectors. Native support for Nice vehicle detection technology simplifies configuration directly through the controller.

Communication between operators supports more complex installations, including synchronized bi-parting gates. The controller coordinates two operators so gate panels reach their open and closed positions together. It can also integrate with other Nice access solutions, including barrier arms, and ancillary devices such as traffic lights.

Bluetooth connectivity gives installers smartphone-based access to setup, diagnostics and configuration. Through the app, installers can manage programmable settings, save established configurations, reload them during servicing or copy settings between gates. These capabilities help streamline commissioning across sites with multiple access points.

Remote Monitoring Creates Service Opportunities

An integrated Ethernet connection extends management beyond the gate itself. Through an embedded web interface, authorized users can remotely monitor the operator, adjust settings and perform tasks such as firmware updates. The system can also generate alerts when conditions affecting site security occur, including a gate failing to close.

For installing dealers, remote visibility can improve maintenance and service efficiency. Technicians can diagnose many issues before dispatching a service vehicle, arrive on site with a better understanding of the problem and potentially reduce unnecessary service visits. The technology also creates opportunities for dealers to offer ongoing remote monitoring and maintenance services.

Facility managers and security teams gain greater visibility into the status of critical vehicle access points, with alerts when issues require attention.

OSCO 725 is also compatible with established Linear RF accessories, providing continuity for customers and installers familiar with the technology while bringing these capabilities together with Nice’s latest gate operator and control technologies.

By combining heavy-duty performance with flexible installation, intelligent controls and remote service capabilities, OSCO 725 is designed to help installers deploy and maintain commercial gate systems more efficiently while supporting reliable, secure vehicle access for property owners and facility managers.
