Panasonic Launches 360 Degrees Network Camera With New 4K Ultra Engine

Panasonic launches 360 degrees network camera with new 4K Ultra engine at Intersec 2015

Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF), a leader in video surveillance cameras and solutions, launched their first 9-megapixel 360-degree network cameras for indoor and outdoor use at Intersec 2015 in Dubai.

They are ideal for surveillance applications that require wide area coverage such as shopping malls, retail stores, airports, railway stations, parking lots, factories, warehouses, offices, and more.

Speaking on the launch of this 4K standard surveillance camera, Hayashi Noriyuki, Senior Manager, System Solutions Department, PMMAF, said “The 360-degree cameras are a breakthrough in surveillance technology as it supports 4K technology which supports resolution four times higher than full HD 1080p. The clarity of the 4K technology is what sets it apart, ensuring quality surveillance and clear identification. Most surveillance cameras especially outdoor provide pixelated footage which does not allow proper recognition, whereas our 360 degree network camera does not only deliver crystal clear images but the WV-SFV481 is weather and impact resistant with IP66- and IK10-ratings. Our technology promises easy and complete surveillance through clear cut technology.”

Equipped with a new 4K Ultra Engine and optimized optical system including 1/2-inch high-sensitivity image sensor and Panasonic large diameter lens, the WV-SFN480 and WV-SFV481 cameras enable clear identification of people and objects from the center to the edge and from wall to wall.

Ultra High Resolution
The WV-SFN480 and WV-SFV481 360-degree cameras provide a 360°/180° field of view, delivering very detailed 9-megapixel images with a 9MP 3K x 3K fisheye, panoramic, and de-warped view at 30fps in H.264 for incredibly high resolution at standard frame rates, ensuring bright images under any lighting condition. In addition, its Ultra 4K HD engine allows multiple levels of zooming without resolution loss.

Ultra High Sensitivity
The camera’s new 1/2″ 12MP image sensor and F1.9 large diameter lens provides sharp and natural color reproduction with strong low light performance, less than 0.3 lux in color and black-and-white.

Ultra Intelligent
The camera’s advanced analytics capabilities providing business owners with valuable insights into the movements of their customers and employees.

Its Heat Mapping capabilities can aggregate a history of movement in a scene and overlay a color heat map indicating both traffic patterns and dwell time in a single easy-to-understand view.

Additional analytics include a 12-virtual-line, bi-directional “people counting” function to assist in quantifying the movement of people in a scene. The camera’s MOR (Moving object removal) video analytics can mask moving objects to identify a background change.

This Intelligent Video Motion Detection software is ideal for locations where privacy is a concern.
