Panasonic System Communications Company of North America, a leading provider of integrated security and surveillance solutions, announced two new HD and Full HD indoor fixed network cameras with modular options.
Further expanding its industry-leading 6 Series i-PRO camera line-up, the new Full HD 1080p (WV-SPN631) and HD 720p (WV-SPN611) models deliver advanced image processing capabilities and exceptional video quality and clarity for a wide range of video surveillance applications.
The new fixed network cameras support two optional modules. The first module (WV-SPN6FRL1) adds IR illumination to the camera to enable capture of clear images in low-light or complete darkness, illuminating up to 100 feet with infrared light.
The optional RS-485 communications module (WV-SPN6R481) enables the camera to control third-party pan-tilt positioners and RS-485 communications.
Leveraging Panasonic?s advanced, next-generation UniPhier® LSI processors, the new 6 Series cameras deliver high definition video images in 1080p resolution and an up to 133dB of dynamic range thanks to its Enhanced Super Dynamic and Adaptive Black Stretch (ABS) technologies, making the cameras ideal for challenging lighting conditions.
The 6 Series cameras produce high definition resolution at 60 frames per second, enabling the capture of exceptionally clear images of moving objects, and feature the ability to encode up to four simultaneous H.264 streams while maintaining use of bandwidth via the UniPhier?s very efficient Shadow Compression Engine.
The entire 6 Series line offers outstanding video images in low-light at less than 0.01lx illumination and its 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR) and Multi-process Noise Reduction (MNR) ensure both bright and dark areas are reproduced to deliver best-in-class performance with minimum video noise and accurate color reproduction.
The new 6 Series models also feature dual SDXC memory card slot offering high-capacity H.264/JPEG edge-recording with flexible record modes including alarm-recording and backup-recording in the event of network failure.
In addition, the cameras are equipped with Panasonic?s innovative Fog Compensation function which improves video quality in difficult weather conditions such as fog and sandstorms and is included as a standard feature.
Intelligent Video Motion Detection (i-MVD) is available as an optional feature, offering six intelligent video features with high-detection performance including intruder, loitering, object detection, and more.
A new mechanical design, Auto Back Focus and Motorized Zoom (2.8-10mm) lenses controls image sensor position automatically, streamlining installation and ongoing maintenance.

The WV-SPN631 and WV-SPN611 will be available in August through authorized Panasonic resellers at an MSRP of $1,622 and $1,216 respectively.
