PureTech Systems®, a leader in geospatial video analytics, announced that its PureActiv® video analytics solution now integrates with Lockheed Martin?s SENTRYSTAR surveillance system. The integration allows users of SENTRYSTAR to utilize advanced video detection features in its alarm capabilities, such as real object size, real target size, and real location (3D-latitude, longitude, and elevation).
SENTRYSTAR is Lockheed Martin?s common operating picture system that incorporates commercial-off-the-shelf products in an open architecture surveillance platform. SENTRYSTAR provides the foundation for persistent long-range surveillance system positioned at detecting movement and/or illegal activity within a border environment or for critical infrastructure.
The announced integration allows SENTRYSTAR to provide alerts utilizing PureTech Systems? intelligent video analytic algorithms including geospatial parameters, such as, real object size, real cross track speed, real forward track speed and real position.
The use of PureActiv?s learning background algorithm reduces nuisance events and allows for high accuracy long-range detection even with substantial background movement. The integration also includes the sharing of geospatial display data, such as target bounding boxes and map-based track data.
?We continue to push video surveillance technology with our use of video analytics at long ranges and challenging viewing environments,? says Larry Bowe, PureTech Systems President. ?This opportunity to work with Lockheed Martin?s SENTRYSTAR system is yet another milestone in our effort to showcase the capability of this technology.?
“Lockheed Martin’s customers not only demand innovative sensor technology but also the best integration and analytic technologies to leverage their investments,? said Greg Boison, director of homeland and cybersecurity at Lockheed Martin. ?PureTech Systems? PureActiv integration into our SENTRYSTAR common operating picture assists that integration to best serve our customers.?
PureTech Systems performed the integration in conjunction with Lockheed Martin?s Information Systems & Global Solutions. Field-testing was performed at the Guardian Eagle test site in Sierra Blanca, Texas and included electro-optic (EO) cameras and infrared (IR) cameras.
