Securityhunter has been awarded a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) by the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through its Program Support Center (PSC). The MATOC was awarded through the General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedules Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) for the PSC. The award is for a base year with four one year options, and is an enterprise?wide physical security and security system integration support services Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).
Other government agencies can also utilize this award through the GSA for schedules 70, 84, and 874. The total value of the MATOC is estimated at $500 million, and the contract limits individual purchase orders to $50M.
Daniel F. Prochnow, President of Securityhunter, was very pleased that Securityhunter was awarded the MATOC, stating ?I am delighted that the HHS Program Support Center has again selected Securityhunter to provide security services via one of its BPAs. This BPA will play a significant role in Securityhunter’s growth plans for the next several years.”
Securityhunter was also awarded a sole-source BPA through HHS and is currently in the final year of its five year award. The Securityhunter sole-award BPA can still be used by government agencies wishing to contract security services before October 26, 2015. The benefit of these BPAs is that they offer streamlined procurement and acquisition procedures for security related government contracting and offer reduced rates through the GSA.
This simplified and efficient acquisition format can greatly speed up the process of procurement with companies that have been previously vetted by the HHS PSC. This in turn makes the procurement process less cumbersome.
