Thierry Campos, President of HGH since 2001, steps down

HGH announce that Vincent Leboucher has been promoted to President of the HGH Group. Current President Thierry Campos retires from the business after 32 years at HGH.

Vincent Leboucher, 40, graduated from the Institut d?Optique Graduate School in 2002 and joined HGH in 2003 as an electro-optics engineer. His rapid progression within the company saw him take on the position of Head of R&D in 2010 and Deputy General Manager in 2018. As Deputy General Manager he led the company alongside Thierry Campos.

In his new role, Mr Leboucher will drive the HGH Group toward continued and global growth across the Surveillance and Test & Measurement industries. He also plans to strengthen the company’s customer support and service offering as part of the company’s major projects for the near future.

On his appointment, Vincent Leboucher stated: ?The strength of HGH comes from its skilled and dedicated team. The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the Group?s resilience and ability to adapt, as well as highlighting the team?s innovative spirit. It is a great honour to lead the business.?

Over twenty years, Thierry Campos has built an international company with a corporate culture built on four core values: innovation, flexibility, customer satisfaction and team spirit. His major achievements included: the launch of the Wide Area Surveillance product line, with HGH?s flagship product SPYNEL; and the development of the international sales function, [which delivered significant growth] in Asia and North America.

Mr Campos also oversaw two significant developments in the company?s history. In 2016, HGH acquired the electro-optics test & measurement specialist Electro-Optical Industries in Santa Barbara, CA which strengthens HGH with a strong industrial innovative structure in North America. Two years later, global investment firm The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG) acquired a majority stake in HGH.

Commenting on Vincent?s appointment, Thierry Campos said: ?After 32 wonderful years spent with HGH, I am delighted to hand over the reins of the Group to Vincent. He has a deep knowledge of the company; perfectly mastering electro-optics technology. He has also demonstrated strong management skills in his varying roles at the company over the years. I am convinced that Vincent will continue to inspire and lead the development of the Group.?

Cyril Bourdarot, Director on the Carlyle Europe Technology Partners team, concluded: ?We first want to thank Thierry Campos who has built a strong leader in infrared technologies. We also would like to congratulate Vincent. His appointment today as President is one of the many steps the Group took these past two years to transform the business and professionalise the organisation to prepare HGH for the next level.?

HGH?s management team will maintain its focus on innovation that is part of HGH?s core values. The R&D team represents today one-third of the employees.  Over the past few years, and despite the difficulties related to the COVID-19 pandemic, HGH has continued to grow, driven by the company?s outstanding R&D in end-to-end systems and software and product innovation which are creating new growth levers both in Surveillance and Test & Measurement for the future.

HGH has been an expert in infrared technology for over 40 years. Since 1982, HGH designs, develops, assembles and sells elctro-optics systems and software for security, defense, oil&gas, energy and various industrial applications.
