Established Networking Brand Introduces Rugged and Ultra-Fast Network Switches
Designed for Harsh and Bandwidth-Heavy EnvironmentsTRENDnet® is expanding its robust industrial switch portfolio with the introduction of the company’s first industrial multi-gigabit switches.
The first industrial multi-gigabit model to launch is the 6-Port Industrial 2.5G DIN-Rail Switch with 10G SFP+ Ports (TI-G5062), featuring four 2.5G RJ-45 ports, and two 10G SFP+ ports. Later this year, TRENDnet will launch the 6-Port Industrial 2.5G DIN-Rail Switch with 2 x 10G Ports (TI-G50611) and the 9-Port Industrial 2.5G DIN-Rail Switch with 10G SFP+ Port (TI-G5091). All three models feature 2.5G ports and 10G ports. The TI-G50611 industrial multi-gigabit switch features both 10G RJ-45 and 10G SFP+ ports, the TI-G5091 features, one SFP+ port.
Each industrial multi-gigabit switch features a hardened, IP50-rated metal enclosure that can withstand extreme networking environments with temperatures as high as 167 degrees Fahrenheit, and as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit. The switches can be mounted to a DIN-Rail or the wall, providing installation flexibility depending on your network setup and needs.
These industrial 2.5G switches support redundant power with multiple power inputs and overload current protection. Additionally, any power failure to the switch will trigger an alarm output, helping to reduce any critical downtime.
“Our lives are becoming more connected with every passing day, requiring networks to handle more data and more bandwidth than ever before,” said Evan Davis, senior manager of solutions engineering at TRENDnet.
“This shift goes beyond our homes; factories, municipalities, warehouses, and more require reliable networking hardware that functions well in industrial environments, while simultaneously boosting network speeds and improving overall throughput.”
TRENDnet’s 6-Port Industrial 2.5G DIN-Rail Switch with 10G SFP+ Ports (TI-G5062) is available for purchase now. This industrial 2.5G switch can be found online on the TRENDnet Store, and worldwide through authorized distributors and retail partners. The 6-Port Industrial 2.5G DIN-Rail Switch with 2 x 10G Ports (TI-G50611) and the 9-Port Industrial 2.5G DIN-Rail Switch with 10G SFP+ Port (TI-G5091) are expected to launch in November/December of this year.
