They can also be configured to record audio and metadata as well as video, with audio/video lip synchronisation assured by the data handling design.
Furthermore, the high data recording rates sustained do not impact upon the speed of the display of live or archived video streams.
In fact, recorded video data can be replayed instantly from any point in time, even when the storage system is very large with Petabytes of data archived over many months.
Wavestore Version 6
The PetaBlok range of servers was created to address the increasing demand for big data storage solutions.
Wavestore Version 6 will deliver enhancements to these established capabilities, including dynamic power savings which are achieved by spinning down hard drives that are not actively engaged in the read or write process.
V6 will also provide intelligent RAID storage which can support both NVR and big data systems, either with or without hardware RAID control, plus, many other new innovative features designed to enhance the operator experience.
