ZeroEyes is investing $10 million in artificial intelligence and machine learning research and development while expanding its workforce with plans to hire more than 100 veterans in Southeastern Pennsylvania over the next two years. The investment supports the company’s strategy to enhance its multi-analytics security platform and accelerate innovation across threat detection and response technologies.
The announcement was made during Senator Dave McCormick’s 2026 Pennsylvania Defense and Innovation Summit at the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Investment To Expand AI And Security Capabilities
The investment will support several key initiatives, including:
- Expansion of ZeroEyes’ 3,000-square-foot experimental AI technology lab for generating training data, conducting live demonstrations, and testing AI weapons detection models and hardware in various environments.
- Continued growth of the Conshohocken-based ZeroEyes Operations Center (ZOC), an in-house operations hub staffed primarily by military and law enforcement veterans, including former special forces personnel.
- Development of small drone technologies, including 3D environment mapping, the ZeroEyes Aerial Detection (ZAD) Kit for aerial threat detection, and Drones/Robots for Active Shooter Deterrence (DRASD).
Veteran Hiring Initiative
The company also plans to recruit more than 100 veterans over the next 24 months for positions including Technical Program Managers (AI), MLOps Engineers, and AI Solutions Specialists.
ZeroEyes has recently expanded its platform beyond firearm detection by introducing additional AI-powered capabilities such as knife detection and real-time threat geolocation. These new analytics are designed to help organizations identify, assess, and respond to a broader range of security incidents while consolidating multiple safety functions into a unified platform.
