Aeroturn Wins 2018 Platinum GOVIES Government Award At ISC West

Aeroturn announced that the company was selected as the winner of the 2018 Platinum GOVIES Government Award for its superior Optical Glass Portal Turnstile by Security Today magazine, the only integrated product and technology magazine reaching the entire security market.

The winners were announced at the ISC West show in Vegas on April 11, 2018 and honorees were recognized by Security Today for their outstanding government security products in a variety of categories.

Aeroturn’s Optical Glass Portal Turnstile was selected as the platinum winner in the perimeter protection category; proving that the company’s dedication to product quality and engineering over the years has placed them at the top of the game.

1105 Media launched its government security awards program in 2009. In 2011, this successful program became known as The GOVIES. Participation in the program has been as strong as ever this year as government security continues to be an ongoing concern.

Winners were selected by an independent panel of judges from the security industry using criteria including Features, Innovation, User Friendliness, Interoperability, Quality, Design, Market Opportunity, and Impact in the Security Industry, Technical Advances, and Scalability.

Based on their work in the government sector, Aeroturn was the clear winner in the perimeter protection category.

“We are extremely proud to have been selected as a Platinum winner for our turnstile solutions and look forward to continuing our work with government agencies for years to come,” states Michael Stoll, VP Technical Sales & Marketing.

“Many federal agencies require unique perimeter security solutions that are not commonly available in the marketplace and our Glass Portal Turnstile is one of those distinct solutions that offers a fully patented {all unique claims} mechanism with operational function that is unprecedented for speed of passage, safety of motion, endurance and reliability.”

The translating hinge motion which never has the swinging glass panels moving towards a pedestrian is extremely safe and highly secure; meeting the stringent needs of controlling access to a federal facility.

Aeroturn continues to raise the bar in the turnstile industry and will be exhibiting at the ASIS NYC trade show on May 16th and 17th at the Javits Center in NYC. Attendees can stop by booth #506 and see why Aeroturn’s turnstile solutions has become the game changer in the industry.
