ASIS Rollout of Newest, Widest Coverage SpotterRF C950 Radar System

SpotterRF, a previous ASIS Accolades winner, announced availability of its newest, widest coverage radar
system—the SpotterRF C950. At a trim five pounds, the C950 is extremely
lightweight, as with all SpotterRF radar models. Yet, its 300-acre
coverage area is twice that of any commercial SpotterRF product to date.
There are no moving parts to maintain as with rotating radar with
similar coverage potential.

ASIS attendees may see a C950 compact ground radar demonstration at this year’s show (Booth# 4221), including
integration with and newest developments in the SpotterRF SHIELD Robotic Perimeter Security System for Protection Beyond FencesTM.

“Customer and integrator response to this product is terrific,” states
SpotterRF CEO Logan Harris. “The C950 is uniquely powerful, versatile,
and weighs a fraction of competing systems whose antennae can weigh six
times more than our entire system.”

Competitively priced, with a range of 1350 meters (0.84 miles) for a
walking person, the SpotterRF C950 provides advanced perimeter warning
for a wider variety of environments such as electrical substations,
airports, solar farms, seaports, and borders. With no moving parts, the
unit is virtually maintenance free.

With the successful deployment of SpotterRF in wide-open areas like
Exxon’s Alaska oil fields, the C950 further expands the range at which
perimeter intrusion is detected.

In the case of Exxon, wildlife and oil
field workers are safer using SpotterRF’s rugged perimeter protection
device.

San Diego County uses SpotterRF radar to protect its vital dam
system. The US Navy has tested and Catalina Sea Ranch uses this radar to
monitor harbor traffic.

The Maryland Department of Transportation may benefit from the extended C950 range in its current SpotterRF deployment to protect high traffic bridges.

The State of Arizona currently seeks
funding to expand its use of SpotterRF radar to better secure its border
with Mexico.

These deployments all test SpotterRF’s performance under
harsh all-weather conditions.

With its resellers, SpotterRF integrates its powerful Compact
Surveillance Radar with the SpotterRF SHIELD system, providing high-end
targeting and tracking (slew-to-cue) capability to a wide range of
applications.

Together, a robotic threat detection and response system is created.  From the perspective of the intruder, once they cross into a protected area the system performs as if a human is tracking their every move. The threat is immediately addressed, even if operations center communications are down.

SpotterRF radar units come in many sizes, weigh as little as 1.5 lbs.
each, use less energy than a light bulb (approx. 8W each), and can
communicate with Google Earth, Milestone, AFT from SAIC, and other Video Management System (VMS) software. Training takes less than 30 minutes in
the field.
