Usage of blockchain-based technology developed by Solve.Care empowers schools to protect their students and staff while ensuring data privacy and security

Public California Charter Schools are taking innovative steps to reduce COVID-19 risks by using Team.Care Network, a workforce engagement solution developed by Solve.Care with a focus on well-being and COVID-19 risk, to help ensure the safety of students and their families, teachers and support staff.

The Collaborative Charter Services Organization provides administrative support services to public charter schools across the State of California.

The initial roll-out of this initiative includes California Pacific Charter Schools in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Sonoma counties; MY Academy serving students In Imperial, Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties, as well as the Collaborative office staff in San Marcos.

In total, these institutions employ over 100 workers and serve approximately 1,000 students from age four to adults. With teachers and students currently taking part in school activities online, priority is first given to the employees who are currently working on-site.

As more people return to the offices and schools, Team.Care Network will be implemented to the wider school community to help manage a safer return to the institutions in a controlled manner.

Team.Care Network is a blockchain based solution developed by global healthcare technology company, Solve.Care. The simple-to-use mobile application allows for the easy monitoring of individual health and well-being, inclusive of COVID-19 exposure risks in a secure and transparent manner while protecting the data privacy of the individual.

In this way, schools will be able to make data-driven decisions based on accurate analytics, alleviating risk to the community against possible COVID exposure, as well as the ability to immediately execute mitigation plans should any positive cases be detected within the community.

Corrie Amador, Director of Human Resources at The Collaborative Charter Services Organization, said, “As a school, we want to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and their families. The Solve.Care app assists us in being able to monitor staff health and reduce risk of exposure to illnesses like COVID-19.  We appreciate the ease of the app for our staff and the ability to gather sensitive information in a secure environment while maintaining their privacy.”

Pradeep Goel, CEO of Solve.Care, said, “Team.Care Network was a direct response to COVID-19 for the workplace where there was an immediate need to protect the workforce. But it is more than that.  It is a workforce engagement solution for organizations to ensure their workforce remain engaged, motivated, productive and healthy in the new normal, even after we emerge from the pandemic.”

“In recent years, Californians have shown their commitment to protecting citizens’ privacy rights though the introduction of a welcome range of new policies in the state such as the California Consumer Privacy Act  (CCPA) and the very recently passed California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Now, in the first application of blockchain technology in a day-to-day school setting, public California charter schools can create a safer space for students and staff while ensuring data privacy concerns are addressed through our privacy-preserving blockchain-based application,” Pradeep added.

Today’s announcement comes on the heels of the news that Team.Care Network has also been adopted by one of Florida’s largest pediatric healthcare provider, Angel Kids, in addition to a slew of significant product announcements from Solve.Care including Global Telehealth Exchange (GTHE) and a DeFi for healthcare framework, which Definitize is based upon.

Pradeep Goel, CEO of Solve.Care, and Corrie Amador, Director of Human Resources at The Collaborative Charter Services Organization, are available for interview.
