Global organisations continue to grapple with the cybersecurity challenges, with the convergence of Internet-connected things, there will be newer risks. These challenges are only likely to increase with the existence of less assertive regulatory and legislative agendas, and also the emergence of a new generation of ?digital natives? leading to an exponential rise in malicious code activities, Spear Phishing and spam attacks. With dissolving boundaries between real and the digital world cybercrime has become a part of our daily lives. Attacks against Governments, businesses and nations is gaining prominence consistently, making responders numb to the sheer increase of cybercrime. The MENA region faces a disproportionate level of attacks, and suffer more zero day vulnerabilities than elsewhere in the world. This has led to a sharp rise in spending in security technology, but without the necessary supporting investment in improving awareness, governance, and processes.
