The highly regarded West Africa Oil & Gas Security Summit is returning to Lagos, Nigeria on 10-11 June 2015, after a very successful first edition last June, gathering over 100 senior level delegates from more than 12 different countries. Whilst oil theft in Nigeria is at its highest levels in five years and the security situation in the region is tense, the Summit hosted by Global Summits organiser, IRN, will provide attendees with the ideal setting to hear about all the latest methods, strategies, technologies and services a company can deploy when protecting the team and infrastructure, and allow the security team to balance the cost of services with their real security needs.
Last year, the well-attended inaugural edition of the West Africa Oil & Gas Security Summit gathered security experts from across Nigeria and the wider West Africa region for the first time. Leading oil and gas companies in attendance included Hunt Oil Benin, Nepal Oil & Gas Services, GE Oil & Gas, Exxonmobil, Shell, Total E&P, Subsea 7 and West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited, amongst others. Τhe Subsea 7 representative that attended the Forum stated “I have attended several summits and seminars in security, never have professionals in security been assembled together with mind-boggling challenges shared to see solutions offered for the oil and gas industry. Great work IRN”. A representative from South Atlantic Petroleum described it as “A security conference masterpiece”.
