Former Sheriff and Military NCO with Intelligence Background Joins Secured Communications as CEO

Secured Communications, LLC, the leader in encrypted and private mobile communications, announced that former Sheriff and Military NCO, Michael Haley, has joined the company as the CEO.

Michael Haley earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Northeast Missouri State University. After graduating with Honors, he continued his education by attending the Secret Service Senior Management school, National Sheriff’s Executive Institute, Southwest Command School, DEA Command School, FBI National Academy (2000), and the Senior Management Institute at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government in 2004.

Haley served 12 years in the U.S. Army in communications and intelligence assignments. He served the public for 34 years in every aspect of law enforcement, and held top secret security clearance both in the military and public safety.

Most recently, Haley served two terms as the senior law enforcement executive in Nevada’s second largest metropolitan area.

In addition to his duties as Sheriff, he served as Vice-Chair for the Nevada Commission on Homeland Security, Chairman of the Nevada High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program, board member of Leadership in Counter-terrorism (LINK) and past President of the Nevada Sheriffs’ & Chiefs’ Association.

He has also been a member of the National Sheriff’s Association, Western States Sheriff’s Association and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

Haley brings decades of experience steering and directing all aspects of operations, administration, budgeting, and strategic planning. He has had success in orchestrating multiple principal public safety projects including the creation of the Northern Nevada Counter Terrorism (Intelligence) Center, Area Crime Evaluation System, Cyber Center, (investigate fraud, identification theft, and conduct computer forensics and internet crimes against children) and leveraged cutting-edge technology resources to drive research.

Haley is the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Ribbon, the Nevada Distinguished Service Medal, the Commendation Ribbon, the Nevada Army National Guard Service Ribbon and the Nevada Medal of Merit.
