Keyholding Company Deploys Verint Situational Intelligence On London’s Bond Street

Verint® Systems, Inc., announced The Keyholding Company’s deployment of Verint’s Situational Intelligence Solutions to further its proactive patrol and intelligence network designed to prevent theft and crime in one of London’s most visited and renowned shopping districts. The organization’s Safer Support Team is using Verint Dispatch Manager™ and Verint Mobile Reporter™, part of the Verint Situational Awareness Platform™, to respond faster, build intelligence, and improve communication with law enforcement at the scene.

The Safer Support Team was developed and funded by The Keyholding Company, a leading provider of mobile security services throughout the UK. This proactive patrol group augments security patrols and helps prevent violent crime on London’s Bond Street, which is known throughout the world for its elegant stores, exclusive brands, designer fashion, luxury goods and fine jewels.

The Safer Support Team is designed to deter “smash and grabs” 7ndash; where bike-mounted assailants ram into glass windows and doors to steal high-value items before making a quick exit. These acts have plagued the area over the years, and in response, the Safer Support Team seeks to increase patrols and quickly respond to incidents.

The Safer Support Team leverages intelligent communication and emergency response technology from Verint to help enhance situational awareness. Verint Dispatch Manager and Verint Mobile Reporter are used by leading organizations around the globe to mitigate security and safety risk, while enhancing situational awareness. The solution unifies disparate command center technologies and security staff by fusing critical data input from emergency calls and responder activity to drive faster, more efficient and effective response to real-time situations.

The solution can also coordinate directly with field responders and empower citizens through the Verint Mobile Reporter application. Using this simple smartphone application, a patrol officer’s location and status are correlated with other situational data inputs. Dispatchers receive updates to a guard’s geographic area, which is regularly updated on a map to keep dispatchers informed of whereabouts and response actions.

“We believe that we can help deliver smarter solutions through technology and collaboration,” says Abi Shuttleworth, chief strategy officer, The Keyholding Company. “The Safer Support Team is a perfect example of how we can work collaboratively with Verint, and the Metropolitan Police Service, to achieve our goals and help make this area safer, while reducing loss.”

“The Safer Support Team helps elevate loss prevention and risk mitigation efforts through the use of Verint’s advanced situational awareness technology, which offers new levels of intelligence for rapid response in mission-critical environments,” says Verint’s Alan Stoddard, VP and general manager, situational intelligence solutions. “We’re proud to be part of this collaborative effort and look forward to helping ensure a proactive approach to security and crime reduction as this public-private initiative grows.”
