NEC will showcase a range of Public Safety Solutions at stand A850, Hall 9, including:
1.Facial Recognition Technology
NEC’s facial recognition technologies have been adopted globally for government, security and commercial applications, including law enforcement applications, immigration systems, and access control for important facilities. NEC’s facial image matching algorithms were recognized as the world’s fastest and most accurate by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, commissioned by the United States Department of Homeland Security in 2010.
2.Hybrid Finger Identification Technology
NEC’s hybrid finger identification technology simultaneously scans both the fingerprint and finger vein pattern, making it particularly difficult for impostors to deceive the authentication system using it.
3.High Sensitivity Camera for Surveillance
NEC’s high sensitivity camera delivers high-quality, full-color video images even in full darkness. It offers sensitivity and quality ideal for outdoor night-time surveillance in important facilities such as harbors, airports, and refineries.
4.Behavior Analyzer
NEC’s Behavior Analyzer increases the speed and accuracy of suspicious activity detection and thus improves surveillance while reducing staff and equipment costs. Based on a video analytics solution that monitors behaviors and flags actions that are pre-determined as unusual, ‘Behavior Analyzer’ software automatically detects suspicious behavior such as intrusion, loitering, and object abandonment based on user-defined time and location parameters. It can distinguish between humans, shadows and moving objects.
5.Intelligent Meta-Surveillance Analysis System
NEC’s metadata search system is well suited for a wide range of applications, such as immigration and airport terminal security, shopping mall searches for lost children and any facilities requiring detection of suspicious persons.
In addition, NEC is organizing a Public Security seminar under the theme of “Safer Cities with NEC Solutions” on Thursday, 19 September from 15:00 to 17:00, in collaboration with Frost & Sullivan. During the seminar, various experts from NEC will present industry foresights and market insights, while demonstrating NEC’s best-in-class security technologies and solutions.
