NEW HIRES
Brad Eck moves from Bosch Security Systems to Milestone Systems as Strategic Alliances Program Owner, Americas, as of March 5.
He has been Integration Manager at Bosch, Principal at SitesDynamic, API Development Manager at Pelco, Embedded Software Engineer at Valere Power, Senior Software Engineer at OraMetrix, and more.
He has a Scholar Distinction MBA from Jack Welch Management Institute and a BA in Computer Science from Liberty University.
Mat Lopez has begun as Channel Business Manager for the Northern California territory. He comes from FST Biometrics where he was Regional Sales Manager, Western Region.
He also has worked for Avigilon, Ingersoll Rand and HID in Channel Management and Business Development roles.
He holds a BSc in English from California State University and several sales and technical certifications, including Cisco CSE, VSP (VMWare) and EMC sales accreditation.
Kelvin Harigyan has been hired as Inside Channel Manager covering the Mid-South, North Texas, and South Texas territories.
He comes to Milestone with inside channel management and sales experience at cybersecurity company Fortinet and Cloudbreak.
Allyson Bales came on board as Sales Development Associate and Lead Qualifier in Partner Activation.
Julie Britt was hired as Sales Support Specialist in the Partner Service and Sales Support department.
Jacob Onstad was brought in as Field Services Engineer in the Professional Services group.
Milestone?s Tech Support brought in both frontline and backline resources with Boyd Milliken and Oliver Garcia as Support Professionals and Denny Tyssel as Escalation Manager. Robert Rice was also new to Tech Support as of February.
Brian Hayes joined Milestone as Software Developer in the Americas Custom Development team.
David Abel was hired in Design and Development as the Learning Portal Administrator.
PROMOTIONS
Dawne Hanks has been promoted to Director of Marketing, Regions, a global role she will fulfill from the Beaverton, Oregon, office – with lots of travel!
She started as Head of Regional Marketing for Milestone Americas in 2015, after several years as Global Marketing Manager at Oakley and as West Coast Sales Manager and Associate Publisher of Sunglasses Magazine.
Victoria Jayka became Marketing Project Manager with responsibility for larger projects in the Americas and for the coordination of joint projects across all global regions.
Chelsea Kilway gained the title Senior Marketing Specialist, Team Lead for the Americas Regional Marketing.
Matt Fishback has moved into a new role as Global Business Development Manager.
He came to Milestone in 2016 and in 2017 proactively started up a pilot program for Milestone Channel Business Managers to run comprehensive ongoing Business Reviews with the partners.
He visited 15 partner companies in just 3 months – a heavy travel load that paid off big: partner response was overwhelming with positive feedback about the value of renewing relationship focus.
Jeremy Scott is taking an interesting leap from successful Channel Business Manager in the Great Lakes region to Strategic Alliances Program Manager, Americas.
He will work with Brad Eck, Tim Warren and the Custom Development Software Engineers to ?move the needle? on open platform solutions with the Milestone Community of partners.
This team reports to Mike Sherwood, Director of Technical Services, Americas. Jeremy?s back story includes being Account Executive at Netech Corporation, Project Manager at Telecom Technicians and at Corporate Protection Systems.
In 2017, he attended the FBI Citizens Academy for community outreach as a liaison in his area.
Walter Coady was promoted to Key Account Manager, Federal Systems.
He has been in the field as Channel Business Manager for the Milestone Eastern mid-Atlantic region based near Washington DC, already familiar with the federal sector. His new role is focused 100% on federal resellers and end users across the Americas.
Mike Tarras, as of January, has moved into the position of Solution Engineer, based in Minneapolis, MN.
He worked at Connex in 2008 as a Trainer and Editor at IPVS magazine, then continued his journey at Milestone as an Analyst & Business Consultant, Technical Team Lead and from 2013 as Solution Integration Engineer.
He has certified many Milestone partners? solutions such as the first cloud-based IaaS solution Milestone XProtect: Microsoft Azure and bodyworn cameras such as ZepCam and Digital Barrier.
Mike brings with him a great deal of experience with both Milestone and its ecosystem partners which will be valuable in the evolution of open platform community innovation.
Daniel Freppert was promoted in the fall of 2017 to the new role of Field Services Engineer.
He is contributing to Milestone Americas? division of Professional Services, which keeps growing in response to increased demand for manufacturer involvement in the commissioning and auditing of complex installations across the US and Canada.
Harry Ervin, based in Hamilton, NJ, to bring his wealth of knowledge in physical security to the role of Solutions Engineer in October 2017.
He had been a Sales Application Engineer for two years at Hikvision and spent 3 years at Arecont as a Field Application Engineer, with earlier experience at Valenti as a Manufacturer Representative.
Alex Knapik is now the Channel Business Manager the Upper Midwest territory, after 9 years as a proactive Pre-Sales Engineer, Senior Technical Services Engineer, Senior Trainer, and technical journalist/trainer and security consultant for the training company Connex (acquired by Milestone in 2013).
Earlier Alex was a Security Director in the Healthcare sector.
Mike Constant is the newest Partner Activation Team member in Beaverton.
He has been with Milestone as an Internal Channel Manager, after many years of experience in the security industry: in manufacturing, with resellers and also in distribution.
This hands-on knowledge of the industry and sales experience is a great asset in his new role as Sales Development Associate – Lead Qualifier.
Nathan Gruss and Richard Hendricks were promoted to Senior Support Engineers in Backline Support.
Natalie Stratton accepted a full-time position as Financial Accountant after working as an Accounting Intern with Milestone since July 2017, where she proved to be a reliable and valuable team member.
She is also finishing a Bachelor of Science degree at Portland State University with a double major in Accounting and Finance.
