Calipsa Integrates with Milestone’s XProtect Corporate VMS
Calipsa announced the compatibility of its false alarm reduction platform with Milestone Systems’ XProtect Corporate VMS designed for use by organizations such as airports and train terminals. XProtect Corporate’s enterprise users deploy large numbers of cameras and will benefit from Calipsa’s 90 percent false alarm reduction rate. When XProtect Corporate receives an alarm from a connected camera, it sends video to a Calipsa cloud-based server where algorithms screen for human or vehicle movement.

Now Milestone partners on the U.S. East Coast, Eastern Canada, and in Brazil will have access to Technical Support two hours earlier, beginning at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Milestone Systems has adjusted its hours of operation in the Americas. Milestone Technical Support for its partners is now open for business beginning at 4 a.m. Pacific time.

After an extensive search for the right candidate for the CEO position at Milestone Systems, the Board of Directors is delighted to announce that Thomas Jensen has accepted the role. With his background in Hewlett-Packard and most recently in Europe’s largest IT integrator company Bechtle, Thomas Jensen is an executive leader with a strong global footprint that includes P&L responsibility for international businesses in software and hardware.
Milestone Systems Surpasses DKK 1 Billion Revenue
With an annual growth rate of 14 percent over the last five years, Milestone Systems’ net revenue increased to DKK 1.03 billion in 2019. The operating income was DKK 124 million compared with DKK 194 million the previous year, a planned consequence of increased investments in innovation and development. The positive revenue development primarily derived from an increase in license and Care™ sales. Moreover, Milestone Systems continued to increase sales in all its markets.

Milestone Systems announces that Lars Thinggaard, President and Chief Executive Officer, has decided to leave the company. As a result, the Board has started an open search to appoint a successor to Mr. Thinggaard. During the intervening period, Lars Larsen, Milestone Systems’ Chief Financial Officer, will serve as Interim CEO. Lars Thinggaard has been President and CEO of Milestone Systems for 17 years.

First Forensic Security System Installed in Florida
CSI Protect announced that the first forensic Criminal Tagging System, from SelectaDNA, in all of Florida has been installed at Raptis Rare Books on Worth Avenue, Palm Beach, Fla. The system was installed by CSI Palm Beach, a Certified Dealer for CSI Protect. The high-tech crime-fighting technology utilizes forensic marking to stealthily tag criminals with an invisible forensic mist. The solution remains on a criminal’s skin and clothing for weeks to months.
