The appointment of Ritesh Deokar is a strategically important move for the company, adding valuable experience and expertise which complement Milestone Systems’ ambitious expansion plans in the region. Ritesh joins the company from a senior management position at L&T, where he was responsible for Global Alliances. Prior to that, he was employed as National Alliance manager at Wipro Limited.
Milestone Americas Announces Staff Changes to Keep Pace with its Expanding Operations
Milestone America announced a number of changes to its staff to keep pace with its expanding their operations in America. The changes include twelve new hirings and eight promotions which includes Michael Gaul who is now the Americas Director of Technical Operations and Matt Fishback who is promoted to Head of Commercial Partner Excellence as well Jeremy Scott is taking the new role of National Sales Manager for Milestone Americas North.
1st Forensic Science-Based Security System Installed in New York State
The first forensic science-based crime prevention system in New York State was installed at luxury Swiss watch manufacturer, Richard Mille. The technology, the Intruder Spray System from SelectaDNA, utilizes forensic science to reduce burglary, robbery and high-value theft by a documented range of 40 to 86 percent. The cutting-edge technology was installed at the flagship boutique, located on ‘Billionaire’s Row’ on 57th Street in Manhattan.
ALPR Provider Earns Milestone Gold Partner Classification
PlateSmart has partnered with video management software platform provider Milestone Systems since 2016. Recently, the two organizations enhanced their relationship when PlateSmart earned Milestone Gold Partner classification. The PlateSmart ARES® automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) solution, which is camera-agnostic and software-only, integrates seamlessly with the Milestone XProtect® VMS. This allows ARES to trigger actions within XProtect, such as alerts, emails and physical alarms.
Transition Networks Accepted into Milestone Systems’ Marketplace
Transition Networks announced it has been accepted into Milestone Systems’ Marketplace. Launched in February, Milestone Marketplace enables Milestone Technology Partners to market their applications, hardware, and services that integrate with or are designed to work with Milestone XProtect® VMS. In 2018, Transition Networks partnered with Milestone to integrate all of its managed PoE+ and PoE++ switches into the Milestone Systems XProtect VMS.
MILESTONE Americas Announces New Hires, Promotions to Keep Pace with Growth
Milestone Systems continues internal expansions in staffing to support its fast-growing business in the Americas. Cliff Brady has filled the new position of Milestone National Sales Manager, West. He will apply his extensive expertise from working as Chief Operations Officer at Canna Security, Solution Project and Services Marketing at IBM, Director of Global Services at Radisys and Technical Support Manager at Sequent. Chip Wilson is now the Milestone Channel Business Manager in South Texas.
Milestone Systems Annual Report: Increased Investments and Solid Growth
Milestone Systems delivered significant and satisfactory financial results in 2018. The Group’s net revenue increased to DKK 934 million from DKK 881 million in 2017, while the operating income (EBIT) grew to DKK 195 million from DKK 171 million. In 2018, Milestone Systems made strategic investments in several areas. The company also decided to accelerate innovation by increasing its development capacity by 45 percent by the end of 2019.

LenelS2 and Milestone Systems Expand Strategic Partnership
LenelS2 and Milestone Systems announced a 10-year agreement for LenelS2 to distribute Milestone products globally. The companies had a previous agreement for North America. LenelS2 is a part of Carrier, a leading global provider of innovative heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, fire, security and building automation technologies. Founded in 1998, Milestone is a stand-alone company in the Canon Group.
Rasilient Joins Milestone System Builder Program
Rasilient Systems has been approved by Milestone Systems to join the System Builder Program. The partnership provides Rasilient the option to deliver its purpose-built video surveillance system hardware pre-installed with XProtect video management software (VMS) for installations with 100 or more cameras. The program enables hardware manufacturers like Rasilient to ship their server and storage solutions preloaded with the XProtect Essential+ VMS.
Milestone Systems Introduces Push-To-Talk In The Mobile Client
The first XProtect release of 2019 extends the usability of the Smart Client and takes it outside the control room with support for both one and two-way audio in the Mobile Client. This is beneficial for on-the-go security personnel, whose tasks require them sometimes to be away from the Smart Client. One-way audio allows users to listen to audio captured by the microphone connected to the camera directly from their mobile phones using the Milestone Mobile application.

Milestone Systems released its Device Pack 10.0a in October and now supports the MOBOTIX MOVE camera series. MOBOTIX MOVE is an independent product line providing customers everything from a single source. “MOVE” stands for the use of mechanically moving parts in the cameras, meaning that MOBOTIX have parted with their previous product policy of only offering decentralized video systems on the market.

Milestone Systems is announcing the Milestone Husky X2 and X8 NVR hardware platform with scalable VMS. These products give the Milestone community the possibility to design small or very large business video solutions using the Milestone Husky X-series NVR’s as scalable high-performance building blocks. This keeps the total cost of ownership down as less hardware is need for a given installation compared to of-the-shelf standard servers. Less hardware means lower operational costs as fewer servers are needed.
