Transition Networks announced a new eight-port, fully managed Power-over-Ethernet ++ (PoE++) switch (SISPM1040-582-LRT) designed for connecting and powering internet of things (IoT) devices in harsh or outdoor environments. Transition Networks will debut the new switch at the International Security Conference & Exposition, known as ISC East. The switch is one of the first to be introduced that supports the new IEEE 802.3bt standard for PoE++, which was ratified in late September.
Transition Networks announced it will showcase its Self-Enclosed, Managed Hardened Gigabit Ethernet Power-over-Ethernet ++ (PoE++) Switch at the Global Security Exchange (GSX) event. New Switch Features Wireless Capabilities to Ease Installation of Security Surveillance Networks. The switch is optimized for easy set-up and maintenance of outdoor security camera networks through the inclusion of a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio for remote access to the switch and near-field communication (NFC) for mass pre-configuration of switches prior to powering up or connecting the switches.
Transition Networks announced it has partnered with ScanSource a provider of technology products and solutions, to expand the delivery of its high-quality edge connectivity solutions with a focus on physical security networks.ScanSource offers the industry’s best AIDC, point-of-sale, communications, physical security and emerging technology solutions, along with the highest level of service and support.
Transition Networks, Inc., a leading provider of innovative, high-value, data network integration solutions, today announced its new family of 10/100/1000 Ethernet small form-factor pluggable (SFP)-based enterprise-class media converters (SGPAT1040-x05) with Power-over-Ethernet Plus (PoE+). These products are new additions to the recently announced multi-port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ family of media converters.
Transition Networks, Inc., a leading provider of innovative, high-value, data network integration solutions, announced a new (small form-factor pluggable) SFP-based Ethernet extender (TN-EOT-xx) designed to connect distant workstations, devices, or workgroups to a corporate network using legacy copper cabling at up to 300Mbps.
Transition Networks, Inc., a leading provider of innovative, high-value data network integration solutions, announced immediate availability of its Ethernet Over Coax Extender with PoE+, which reduces cost and accelerates time to service by utilizing existing coax cabling infrastructure to upgrade from analog to IP-based surveillance cameras or connect other IP devices to the Ethernet network. The new extender conforms to the IEEE 802.3af/at standard for compliance with other PoE / PoE+ powered devices, allowing edge devices to be quickly and easily located in places where power was previously not available and helping to avoid unnecessary and costly electrical installations.
