Transition Networks announced the start of a significant intelligent transportation project with New York City?s transportation agency to connect, power and manage traffic data via its hardened TAA-compliant, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE+) switches. This application brings intelligent transportation infrastructure citywide and reinforces the relevance and timeliness of Transition Networks? strategy of developing smart city Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.
Transition Networks Brings PoE Security Expertise To GSX
Transition Networks announced it will showcase its Self-Enclosed, Managed Hardened Gigabit Ethernet Power-over-Ethernet ++ (PoE++) Switch at the Global Security Exchange (GSX) event. New Switch Features Wireless Capabilities to Ease Installation of Security Surveillance Networks. The switch is optimized for easy set-up and maintenance of outdoor security camera networks through the inclusion of a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio for remote access to the switch and near-field communication (NFC) for mass pre-configuration of switches prior to powering up or connecting the switches.
