MILESTONE Americas Announces New Hires, Promotions to Keep Pace with Growth

Milestone Systems continues internal expansions in staffing to support its fast-growing business in the Americas.

HIRINGS

Cliff Brady has filled the new position of Milestone National Sales Manager, West. He will apply his extensive expertise from working as Chief Operations Officer at Canna Security, Solution Project and Services Marketing at IBM, Director of Global Services at Radisys and Technical Support Manager at Sequent.

Chip Wilson is now the Milestone Channel Business Manager in South Texas. He came from Senstar Corporation where he was Regional Sales Manager, Enterprise Accounts. Chip has comprehensive knowledge of IT beginning with an A.A.S. in Computer Information Systems and a B.S.in Computer Science from the University of Houston. His experience includes Director of Operations and Professional Services, IT Business Consultant and Director of Operations, responsible for strategic planning, company initiatives and process development.

Estanislao (Tanis) Lucio joins the Sales Operations team as Distribution Channel Manager, Americas.  Located in Milestone’s new Portland, Oregon, office, he has a diverse background ranging from product and program management to sales, with a strong focus on process improvement. He was recently with United Natural Foods and prior to that, Xerox Corporation for 21 years.

Desiree Breamer is Financial Controller – Americas, also based in the Oregon location. She comes from almost five years at Directors Mortgage as the VP of Accounting and previous Controller. Desiree was recognized there for being a strong team leader, with drive and initiatives toward process improvements.

Amber Hanson came in as Accounting Manager from two years with Directors Mortgage and eight years with Xerox Business Services.

Robert Wright joined Milestone as Desktop Support Technician, helping staff work at top IT capacities.

Francisco Lozano is a new Frontline Support Professional based out of the new Milestone office in Mexico City, tending to the Milestone community’s technical support needs in the fast-growing LatAm regions.

PROMOTIONS
Steve Gillum was promoted in February to Channel Business Manager – Plains, and moved to Des Moines, Iowa, to better support the Milestone partner channel and community in that area. Steve came to Milestone in 2015 and proved his mettle as an energetic Inside Channel Manager in the NW territory.

Michael Gaul has been promoted to Senior Manager, Technical Services for all of the Americas, overseeing Technical Support, Professional Services, and Milestone Americas IT operations.

Lina Alfaro has also moved up the ladder to become Technical Services Manager – Latin America, for the LatAm staff in Technical Support, Professional Services, and Presales. She used to be employed at a Milestone Partner in Colombia and moved to Mexico City to work for Milestone as a Frontline Support Manager in 2014. Lina is an accomplished engineer and leader: over the last 18 months she led her team to reduce the Technical Support Spanish queue abandonment rate by 10 percent.

Jose Brito is now a Milestone Technical Support Manager, promoted to manage a portion of the Technical Support team in Latin America after being prepared for the role by Lina for several months. He proved to be key in managing the day-to-day operations during the Mexico City office move.

Christian Axel became a Milestone Support Engineer for being a vital part of the Mexico City team for several years. His technical expertise is important in training new engineers in that region. He has also been valuable in going to customer sites to assist with advanced technical issues. Chris has extensive technical and customer service experience.

Oliver Garcia has moved up from Frontline Support in the Tech Support team to be an Inside Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales. He has been with Milestone since 2017.

Daniel Bartel has also escalated in his career from Desktop Support Technician to Inside Solutions Engineer.

Marlo Rocci is now a Milestone Support Engineer. He has been with Milestone since 2016, increasing his knowledge of XProtect technology significantly during this time. Marlo has built a strong knowledge of XProtect architecture and is particularly skilled at troubleshooting software installation errors, which are some of the most difficult types of support issues. Marlo is truly passionate about XProtect technology, always willing to dive deep to get an issue fixed. In addition, Marlo’s customer service is excellent, having received over 100 ‘Very Satisfied’ support case survey results in 2018. Marlo has also put in a significant amount of time helping new hires learn and come up to speed quickly.

Ace Listro has been promoted to Senior Support Engineer after working Backline Support cases since April 2018. He has been instrumental in making sure that customers have a stable, reliable VMS system. Ace has resolved multiple high priority cases and is directly responsible for the discovery and reporting of ten issues that resulted in important improvements for XProtect. Ace has furthermore established himself as a subject matter expert in Lenel Access Control integrations which is a fast-growing area of the business.

Kevin Gentry has moved up to Support Engineer, having joined the Milestone Technical Support team in April 2018. He has proven to be extremely valuable for technical skills and customer service that are exceptional. Kevin consistently has the lowest average open case count and the lowest average case age of the department. He is very consistent and extremely reliable – a team player who is always willing to jump in and assist with any difficult or challenging assignment.

Ali Limon comes from a customer service background to be a Milestone Sales Development Associate in Partner Activation Americas. She is working with the Northwest and Plains territory.

Jamie Mertz is now a Sales Strategy Specialist in the Americas Sales Excellence Team, headed by Matt Fishback. In March 2018 Jamie joined Milestone as a Sales Administrator for the Americas Sales organization. Due to her tireless work ethic, attention to detail and relentless approach she quickly expanded the role well beyond the job description. It is these attributes that will ensure success in her new role.

Elisabeth Wallberg was promoted to Senior Office Administrator, which recognizes her long-time contributions and commitment to Milestone Systems in the Americas. She was one of the first employees in the region, when Milestone’s U.S. office was in a Beaverton basement! She was greatly instrumental in the move in 2006 to a business complex and this year to Lake Oswego’s modern floor-through location.
