OnSSI?s Ocularis 5.6 Releases A New Smart Camera Driver For VIVOTEK H.264 And H.265 Cameras

As part of its recently released Ocularis 5.6 Video Management Software (VMS), OnSSI announces the availability of a new Smart Camera Driver for VIVOTEK H.264 and H.265 Cameras.

The new Smart Camera Driver eliminates the need for Ocularis VMS users to wait for drivers to be developed for newly introduced VIVOTEK cameras, as Ocularis 5.6 will automatically build the driver when it senses the new camera in the system.

?With the latest release of Ocularis, users and integrators alike will find our powerful VMS platform even easier to install, implement and use with new capabilities that now include a Smart Camera Driver for VIVOTEK H.264 and H.265 Cameras,? said Ken LaMarca, VP of Sales and Marketing, OnSSI.

?In addition to Ocularis automatically accommodating VIVOTEK cameras, OnSSI joins VIVOTEK in supporting Trend Micro’s world renowned anti-intrusion cybersecurity software to provide users with the highest levels of protection for their security system architecture.?

The new Ocularis Smart Camera Driver supports VIVOTEK H.264 and H.265 cameras, including on-board events generated by the cameras? internal analytics. Also supported are VIVOTEK camera features such as 4K resolution and dewarping for wide area surveillance applications.

This latest software enhancement from OnSSI allows the Ocularis Recorder and VIVOTEK IP cameras to communicate with each other using VIVOTEK?s protocol to determine the model and capabilities of networked cameras, and then builds the required driver on the fly, eliminating the need for integrators & users to wait for model-specific drivers to come out. They can use their newest camera models and all of their features, as soon as they are released.

?We are extremely pleased that OnSSI?s industry-leading Ocularis VMS solution now automatically accommodates VIVOTEK cameras,? said David Liu, President of VIVOTEK USA, Inc.

?The Ocularis Smart Camera Drivers make it easier and more cost-efficient for users to deploy VIVOTEK?s portfolio of innovative imaging solutions in their systems.?

On-Net Surveillance Systems was founded in 2002 with the goal of developing comprehensive and intelligent IP video surveillance management software.
