OnSSI announces the addition of two new employees to their sales team. Chris Baty joins OnSSI as the Regional Manager for Southern Texas and Southern Louisiana, and Gabriel Furtado as Business Development Manager for the Caribbean and Latin America Region. Chris Baty has more than 10 years of experience in territory management. Gabriel Furtado has more than a decade of experience in the security industry.
OnSSI is expanding its portfolio of VMS solutions with the introduction of the new RecOn5 integrated Pre-loaded NVRs and Servers here at ISC West 2018 (booth #13074). The new RecOn5 NVRs are pre-loaded with Ocularis NVR software for stand-alone operation, and the new RecOn5 Pre-loaded Servers are designed for easy expansion of existing Ocularis VMS installations. The RecOn5 Pre-loaded NVRs and Servers are available in 32, 64 and 128 camera configurations in desktop and rackmount models with HDD capacities of 8 to 40TB for desktop models and 8 to 80TB for rackmount models.
OnSSI announced the release of the Hardening Guide for Networked Video Surveillance Systems. The free downloadable guide provides specific recommendations on hardening video surveillance systems by applying cybersecurity measures designed to help prevent and protect systems from potential threats. The OnSSI Hardening Guide for Networked Video Surveillance Systems includes guidance on password length, how to avoid security system bad password practices, collaboration with IT and HR departments and how to apply software and firmware security updates.

SP DYNAMIC as OnSSI manufacturers’ representative for Canada will manage sales for the OnSSI Ocularis 5 VMS to dealers and systems integrators across Canada. SP DYNAMIC, led by President, Steve Peters, has more than 25 years of experience in customer service, sales skills, marketing and experience working with physical security solutions, for a variety of applications and markets. Key enhancements of the Ocularis version 5.5 include new Smart Camera Drivers for Dahua, Panasonic and TKH Security Solutions cameras for immediate support for all new cameras without the need to wait for individual camera drivers or driver packs.
OnSSI announced a new integration partnership with License Plate Recognition (LPR) software company, Vaxtor Corporation. The integration enables Vaxtor’s advanced LPR analytics to be deployed across OnSSI’s industry-leading Ocularis VMS platform. With these integrated analytics Ocularis can recognize, capture and archive data on license plates, railway vehicles, USDOT numbers, shipping containers and more.
OnSSI appointed Chris Martinez as their new South Central Regional Manager. Mr. Martinez is a veteran of the security industry, with over 20 years of experience —12 years on the service/support side and 10 years in sales— where he developed, marketed, and sold security solutions throughout the United States. With experience gained during his earlier years as a field service technician, Mr. Martinez gained an in-depth knowledge of security solutions from inception to installation.
OnSSI has promoted Duncan Havlin to the position of National Sales Manager, effective September 25, 2017. As a member of the OnSSI sales team for the past five years as Western Regional Manager, Duncan has proven his product knowledge, customer relationship building and leadership abilities, making him well suited for the position.
