Smartphone access control is set to create amazing new possibilities for secure entry systems. Smartphones are already being used to allow the remote monitoring and control of smart home security systems.
If all goes to plan, we should soon see the retirement of those clunky access key cards and fobs that are always getting lost, left at home, or worse – falling into the wrong hands.
Instead, we’ll be able to get in and out securely, simply by waving our smartphone at the door or automated gate of our businesses and homes.
