Partnering with HP Networking has enabled BCDVideo to offer a wide selection of networking products and capabilities – from inexpensive Power-over-Ethernet (POE) switches for smaller video surveillance projects all the way up to enterprise chassis based network switches. From oil fields in Venezuela, supply chain shipping lines in the Caribbean, datacenters in Thailand, transit systems in the Netherlands, airports in Canada, an embassy in North Africa, smartphone/tablet manufacturer in China, and a sports club in Qatar, BCDVideo is now on every continent except Antarctica. The second half of 2014 saw 295 new sites storing video on BCDVideo recorders, a 20% increase over first half of 2014.

Milestone Certifies BCDVideo Nova Series on XProtect
Milestone Systems, the open platform company in IP video management software (VMS), has now tested and reported performance component certification of BCDVideo’s Nova Server and Storage Series. To address this, Milestone worked closely with BCDVideo to ensure that their systems can be optimized for the Milestone XProtect® software portfolio, helping implementations to be specified, built and delivered as optimal systems for each customer’s technical environment.

SMARTcontrol Management Software now standard on Nova Series. BCDVideo announced the release of their SMARTcontrol Management Software (SMS). SMS is an evolution in health monitoring for physical security technology for both BCDVideo’s video recorder and access control server platforms.
BCDVideo Servers: 500 Mbps And/or 500 Cameras
The Genetec Product Teams (PLM and PMM) have announced the increase of archiving performance with selected BCDVideo servers. After extensive testing with Genetec’s Security Center Omnicast, we are excited to raise our existing server specifications and now provide you with the industry’s highest throughput certifications. The server is certified to support up to 500 cameras and/or 500Mpbs in continuous recording, and provide an additional 200Mbps dedicated for video redirection.
