Princeton Identity’s EyeAllow Offers Broadest Range of User Identification Options in a Single Edge Device

Princeton Identity announced the North American launch of EyeAllow™, a sleek, compact, and highly flexible user authentication edge device with enhanced performance that supports the broadest range of modalities within a single unit.

These include iris and face biometrics, RFID cards, high-frequency smart cards, mobile credentials, biometrics-on cards, and PIN codes.

Designed for use with Princeton Identity’s Identity Server and Iris On the Move™ product suite, the EyeAllow brings heightened security, speed, and convenience to access control, time and attendance, and point-of-sale applications, and supports integrations with solutions from many industry-leading manufacturers.

The patented iris identification algorithm

EyeAllow is ideal for use in environments requiring highly accurate, positive identification and fast throughput, including college and corporate campuses, data centers, critical infrastructure, medical facilities, manufacturing plants, financial institutions, and more. By combining modalities for multifactor authentication, the unit provides a simple-to-deploy solution that complies with even the most stringent security requirements.

The company’s patented iris identification algorithm can accurately differentiate between millions of unique users and is currently used in high-profile installations both domestically and throughout the Middle East, including passenger screening at Dubai International Airport.

Convenience for the end user is provided by Princeton Identity’s advanced iris recognition algorithm, which allows for identification of individuals wearing masks, glasses, sunglasses, and other protective gear, while a built-in proximity sensor provides for hands-free operation.

The PoE+ interface simplifies installation by allowing for power and communication over a single connection, while the patented seamless self-enrollment functionality significantly reduces the administrative burden of on-boarding new users.

Capacity to store up to 6000 user profiles locally with at-rest data encryption to support continued authentication keeps the system operational even in the event of a network outage.

“EyeAllow represents a significant addition to our lineup of edge devices designed to work with our company’s Identity Server and Iris On the Move platform,” said Bobby Varma, Princeton Identity CEO and Co-Founder.

“EyeAllow’s flexibility and affordability make it an obvious choice for customers who, until now, may have assumed biometric identity solutions were warranted only in the most demanding, high-security environments. EyeAllow’s biometric and multifactor authentication makes it ideal for such settings, but this product will also be welcomed by customers who prioritize convenience and flexibility. No other single device offers so many ways for users to engage with identification technology.”

EyeAllow will be included in Princeton Identity’s Solution-as-a-Service (SaaS) pricing model. There is no upfront purchase required for software or hardware. Monthly licensing fees include product support, warranty, and maintenance for the duration of the SaaS contract.

“Our customers have expressed a strong preference for SaaS, as such solutions are easier to manage, have a lower total-cost-of-ownership, and mitigate risk,”

Varma adds.
